> ℹ️ The Mighty Rewards program is a customer rewards program for Mitre 10 stores around Australia, and ProStix is enabled for this program. 
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ Retail customers can be given a loyalty card by the store and then earn points on purchases. These points are then used to pay for future purchases in the store. 
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ Within ProStix, operators can register new card holders, check balances, scan the card during a sale to earn points and also redeem points as tender on a sale. ProStix does not however store Mighty Rewards points. 
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ A company called Pin Point hosts a points database on behalf of Mitre 10 with which ProStix constantly communicates. That is, each time ProStix shows a points balance it sends a message to the Pin Point system requesting the card holder's balance.   
> ℹ️ All Mighty Rewards functions within ProStix operate in this way. 
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ An additional function that some ProStix users might enable is the ability to store the card holder's details against a cash card customer within ProStix. If this function is enabled, all information is still stored on the Pin Point database, however ProStix duplicates the cardholder information against a cash card customer in ProStix. There are still no points stored in ProStix.

> ℹ️ An advantage of using Mighty Rewards this way in ProStix is that in house marketing can take advantage of cardholder details. For example, to email these customers details of an in house promotion. 
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ The theory behind Mighty rewards however is that Mitre 10 will run promotions for the stores to its customer base via Pin Point.
