In this lesson you will learn how to setup volume discounts for products on contracts. This feature allows the maintenance of all contract types (Customer, Job and National) to cater for volume prices.  This module is feature-coded: 'FeatureVOL'. If you are interested in using this module then please contact Sterland Computing.  Customers may sell a small quantity which should attract a higher price per unit or a large pack quantity that demands a lower price. This is already managed well where contracts are not in place by combining a product volume price with a module discount.  When it comes to contracts though, there is no ability to set volume pricing. As a result the contracts usually have a unit price defined and it is up to the operator typing the order to adjust the price down for larger quantities. The process of manually reducing the price on contract sales can easily be skipped which then causes a high number of credits on these sales.  In addition to the issue volume pricing on contracts, the quantities at which a volume price takes affect differs between branches and regions. This adds more complexity to the task of manually typing a correct price for contract sales.
