This procedure explains how to purchase products using the automatic Stock Re-Order process. The first step in the reorder process is to create a report that will detail products that can have purchase orders created for them, according to the information that has been stored against the product. The report can then be reviewed so that changes, if any, can be made to the purchase order that is generated in the second process - Stock Reorder. Stock Re-Order can be performed for a supplier either for an individual branch or for many branches.  This procedure covers a stock re-order for an individual branch. If the System Tailoring Flag 'InvExBrStk' is set to 'Yes' then when creating a purchase order, ProStix checks for excess stock at other branches that are in the same sales zone.  If the Stock Data information (at other branch/es) for the product has a mandatory Performance Category, and there is excess stock at that branch, the user must create a Branch Transfer instead of a P/O.  Stock Performance Categories are setup in Miscellaneous Tables and marked as mandatory if Inter Brn = 'Yes' . If the System Tailoring Flag ' InvStkZero'  is set to YES, the Negative Stock On Hand will be set to Zero when processing a Stock Re-order. However, if there is a Stock Consignment, the Negative Stock On Hand will be retained as basis for the calculations used in the Stock Re-Order functions (manual and scheduled). To purchase products using the automatic Stock Re-Order process for an individual branch, perform the following: 1. From the ProStix Main Menu select 'Purchasing & Receipting' then 'Stock Re-Ordering' then 'Suggested Stock Re-Order' . 2. The Stock Reorder Report can be generated for a specific supplier or, for a non-contiguous range of suppliers. 3. To produce a report only, type 'Yes' in the 'Report Only' field (or tick for ProStix GUI).  If you have previously run the report, and are happy with the results, type 'No' in the 'Report only' field to generate a purchase order from the reorder quantities detailed on the report. 4. To run the report for a single supplier, either type the supplier code in the Supplier No. field, o r select <F3> to search for, then select the correct supplier.  Note : When the actual Re-Order is performed, this field can be left blank, and re-ordering can be performed for all suppliers. 5. To run the report for a range of suppliers, select <F9> (Suppliers) to display the 'Supplier Selection List' of all suppliers, then select the supplier or suppliers to include in the report.  Press the <Space-Bar> to select this supplier. You notice that an asterisk appears beside that supplier.  Continue to select suppliers using this method. 6. If you select a supplier in error, move the cursor back to that supplier and press the <Space-Bar> again. The asterisk is removed and the supplier is deselected.  You must select at least one supplier or an error is displayed. 7. Once the supplier range has been selected, select <F1> to open up all of the other fields on the screen so that you can determine the range of products to include on the report. Refer to the ' Stock Re-Order -Ranges Options ' collapsible link below for an explanation of some of these options.  8. Once the input criteria have been determined, select <F1> to display the 'Stock Re-Order Options' screen on the right hand side of the screen.  Select the type of Stock Re-Order Options data you wish to update/maintain from the Options menu. Refer to the ' Stock Re-Order Options ' collapsible link below for a screenshot and an explanation of some of these options.  9. The following information for each product is included on the report: 10. Refer to the Modifying a Stock Re-Order process for further information.
