> ℹ️ The following steps explain the process flow between the Milling System and Prostix:
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ 1. Logs are committed to stock in Prostix (raw material) initially.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ 2. Timber products are created in Prostix.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ 3. Using the milling software, you enter in the product code (using the dropdowns for each part of the product). Once you complete the dropdowns, **the product number that this makes up is then verified against Prostix to ensure that this is a valid product**. So, a product would not be found if the fields are not completed in the milling software because the end result does not match any product in Prostix.

> ℹ️
> ℹ️ 4. As soon as you save and print in the milling software **this immediately creates a pack number in Prostix**.  You have up to one hour to delete the pack in Prostix if needed (via Pack Maintenance) before the stock is updated automatically.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ :info: There is currently no facility to prefix a pack number with a branch and the next pack number is a numeric field/counter.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ 5. When the scheduled job runs to commit packs to stock (only after 1 hour), the **pack stock is increased and loose stock is decreased**.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ 6. At stocktake time, you write off the raw materials (logs).
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ 7. The nightly job that runs to create the list of products does not delete products in Prostix, it just rebuilds a table(list) of valid timber products.
