> ℹ️ :info:* Note*: When Scanning and entering a stock card, the Stock Take status automatically reverts from 'New' to 'Entering' (by-passing the 'Frozen' status, which is applied when manually changing the status through Batch Stock Take maintenance).
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ :info: *Note*: At the **point the product is scanned**, ProStix takes a snapshot of the stock qty (frozen qty) and this is then used for the purpose of the discrepancy variance report (where the frozen qty is compared to the counted qty).
> ℹ️ The PDA can be used for the entire count as required. Ensure that at the end of the count that the PDA has updated back to the ProStix server (it will do this automatically upon completion of qty entry to a given stock card in the entry screen).
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ :info: *Note: *Interim invoice transactions are taken into account when products are added to a stocktake via the PDA.  Frozen qty = SOH at time of freeze - qty on Interim Invoice.

> ℹ️
> ℹ️ 10. Once all products in the location have been scanned and the quantities entered, press **Review** and then press **Finish** to complete the count for that location and to transmit the quantities back to the Prostix server.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ :info:* Note*: If a product is scanned which is not currently listed on the stock card then when entered, the product & QTY is automatically added to the stock card (and location if the location is entered). It is possible to use conduct a batch stock take without having already located the products in advance or created your different stock cards. The minimum requirement for this is to have created a new batch stocktake and a single card.
