> ℹ️ The update of the branch stock on hand balance to reflect the newly counted quantities is achieved via applying the counted stock. A product stock location can also be updated during this process if the user has recorded a new stock location against the product.

> ℹ️ 1. From the **Batch Stock Take Options** menu, select **Maintain Stock Takes**
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ > Macro (inline-media-image)
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️    
> ℹ️ The Status is set to 'Entering'.
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ 2. Press **F9 Status** on the required stock take.
> ℹ️

> ℹ️ 3. Type *Yes* to continue. The Status is now updated to 'Counted'.

> ℹ️ At this stage, the variance report has been printed and the QTY / values updated as required. Having completed the variance report entry, the status can then be changed.

> ℹ️ 4. Press **F9 Status** on the required stock take to change it from 'Counted' to 'Validated'.

> ℹ️ 5. Type *Yes* to continue. The Status is now updated to 'Validated'.
