> ℹ️ To define a stocktake, from the Prostix Main Menu perform the following:
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ 1. Select **Inventory Management** then **Stock Control** then **Stock Take** (option 5-5-1).

> ℹ️ 2. Select **Maintain Stock Takes**. .

> ℹ️ 3. Enter *the Branch number* the stock take is being defined for in the **Branch** field (defaults to your home branch) then press **F1 Go**.

> ℹ️ 4. The 'Batched Stock Takes' screen is displayed.

> ℹ️ 5. Press **F6 Add** to create a new stocktake.

> ℹ️ 6. Enter a *new stock* *take name* in the **Stock Take** field and a *description for the stocktake* in the **Description** field, then press **F1 Go**.
