# Overview

The Document Storage function allows you to automatically attach PDF copies of customer invoices and order confirmations to transactions within Frameworks. These documents can then be accessed directly from the transaction, customer dashboard or enquiry screens.

By setting up automatic document storage, you can save time, improve customer visibility, and ensure a complete document trail linked to each transaction.

There are two ways to attach documents:

- **Automatically**, when the right settings are turned on.
- **Manually**, by uploading a file through the Attachments window.

# Link Emailed Documents to Transactions

When a document is emailed from Frameworks, for example, a Quote or Invoice, the attached file is automatically stored. You can then access it later using the Attachments link available within various screens throughout the system.

> ℹ️ **Note: **Documents outputted as a PDF are also stored as an attachment to the transaction.

All stored documents are managed via the Attachments function within Frameworks. This means:

- **Full visibility** of every piece of customer communication.
- **Quick retrieval** of any document directly from the transaction screen.
- **Improved audit trails**, showing exactly when and by whom each document was uploaded.
