# Overview

The **Electronic Shelf Labels Extract** identifies and generates data extracts of products whose prices have recently changed. It helps stores quickly update prices on digital labels by sending only the updated information to external systems.

> ⚠️ **Important:** The following guide relates to the third-party system **Handshow **Electronic Shelf Labels.

## Types of Extracts

You have two options for extracting price labels:

- **Full Extract:** This includes all products marked for Electronic Price Label, based on criteria such as stock on hand, last sold date, last purchased date, and creation date. To perform a full extract, refer to [Product Price Label Extract](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28395728).
- **Update Extract:** This comprises only the products with recent price changes that are flagged for Electronic Price Label. To perform an update extract, refer to [Send Price Label Information](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28413560).

# Configuration

## 1. System Setup and Flags

### Miscellaneous Tables

The following table can be configured via the **Miscellaneous Table Maintenance** screen.

#### Price Label Store ID Maintenance

The **Price Label Store ID Maintenance** table lets you link each Frameworks **Company **and **Branch ID **to the corresponding **Store ID** used by the third-party electronic shelf label system (Handshow).

### System Settings - Flags

From the Frameworks menu navigate to **System Administration > System Setup > Configurations **> **System Settings - Flags**. 

#### PricerIntegration

**FlagPurpose: **Enables the integration of electronic shelf labels with the system. 

- When enabled, the system generates extracts for product prices that have changed, allowing these updates to be sent to an external third-party system for electronic shelf labels.
- When disabled, the system will not generate or send price change extracts to external electronic shelf label systems.

### System Settings - General

#### PricerIntType

**Flag/Setting Purpose:** Determines the format of these extracts, which can either be CSV or API. For this process, CSV is the recommended format.

## 2. Change Data Capture (CDC)

The CDC processor will typically already be running and is required to be running for this functionality and other Frameworks processes. To confirm this is running, from the Frameworks menu, navigate to **System Administration > Admin Console > Administration **> **Change Data Capture Control. **The status should display **RUNNING.**

**Setting Purpose:** Enables the capture of data when the price is changed, which is then processed by the Price Change task.

## 3. Product Branch Stock

Any product that requires an electronic label for a specific branch must have the **Electronic Price Label** field enabled for that branch, which can be configured in **Product Maintenance** > **Product Branch Stock**.
