# Overview

Our In-App Help menu is an essential tool that provides guided support, training, and helpful tips while you use Frameworks. If the In-App Help menu isn’t appearing for you, it’s likely due to your web browser settings, specifically how it handles cookie data.

> 📝 This guide will walk you through the steps to check and update your settings to ensure the Help menu can load and display correctly.

## 1. Allow Sites to Save and Read Cookie Data

Our In-App Help and Training system is powered by WalkMe, which requires your browser to allow cookies for the service to function correctly.

### Google Chrome

1. Go to **Settings**.
2. Select **Privacy and security** > **Third-party cookies**.
3. Make sure **“Allow third-party cookies”** is selected.
4. If using custom settings, ensure **“Sites can save and read cookie data”** is **enabled**.

### Microsoft Edge

1. Go to **Settings**.
2. Navigate to **Privacy, search, and services** > **Cookies**.
3. Ensure **Allow sites to save and read cookie data** is **enabled**.
4. Make sure **Block third-party cookies** is **turned off**, or add exceptions.

### Mozilla Firefox

1. Open **Settings**.
2. Go to **Privacy & Security** > **Cookies and Site Data**.
3. Under **Enhanced Tracking Protection**, select **Standard**.
4. If using **Custom** settings, make sure cookies aren’t fully blocked.

---

## 2. Allow Cookies from WalkMe (cdn.walkme.com)

In some cases, your browser may block third-party cookies from specific sources. To ensure the In-App Help content loads correctly, cookies from WalkMe must not be blocked. You'll need to allow cookies from:

```
cdn.walkme.com
```

### Add an Exception for WalkMe:

#### Google Chrome

1. Go to **Settings**.
2. Select **Privacy and security** > **Third-party cookies**.
3. Scroll to **Sites allowed to use third-party cookies**.
4. Click **Add** and enter:
5. Tick the checkbox for **Including third-party cookies on this site**, if available
6. Click **Add**.

#### Microsoft Edge

1. Go to **Settings**.
2. Navigate to **Privacy, search, and services** > **Cookies**.
3. Scroll to **Customised cookies behaviour**.
4. For **Allowed to save cookies, **click **Add** and enter:
5. Tick the checkbox for **Including third-party cookies on this site**, if available
6. Click **Add**.

#### Firefox

1. Under **Cookies and Site Data**, click **Manage Exceptions**.
2. Enter:
3. Click **Allow**, then **Save Changes**.

## Still Not Seeing the Help Menu?

If you’ve updated your cookie settings but the In-App Help menu still isn’t appearing, try the following steps to troubleshoot further.

### 1. Refresh Your Browser

- Press `Ctrl + Shift + R` (Windows) or `Cmd + R` (Mac) or click the **refresh** button.
- This ensures the new settings are applied.

### 2. Open Frameworks in a New Tab or Private Window

Sometimes, cached data or extensions can interfere:

- Open a **new browser tab** or use **private/incognito mode**:
  - **Chrome/Edge**: `Ctrl + Shift + N`
  - **Firefox**: `Ctrl + Shift + P`
- Log in to Frameworks and check if the In-App Help menu is visible.

> ℹ️ If it appears in Incognito mode, the issue may be caused by extensions or cache in your regular browsing session.

### 3. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies

Outdated or corrupt cache data can prevent scripts from loading:

1. Go to your browser’s **Clear browsing data** settings.
2. Select:
  - **Cookies and other site data**
  - **Cached images and files**
3. Clear the data, then restart the browser and log back in.

> ⚠️ This will log you out of most websites.

### 4. Disable Browser Extensions Temporarily

Some extensions may block WalkMe’s scripts:

- Try disabling privacy/ad-blocking extensions such as:
  - uBlock Origin
  - Ghostery
  - Privacy Badger
  - NoScript
- After disabling, refresh the page or try again in a private window.

### 5. Check for Network Restrictions

If you’re on a corporate or managed network:

- WalkMe content might be blocked by a firewall or content filter.
- Ask your IT team to ensure that traffic to:
is not being blocked or restricted.

### 6. Try a Different Browser

- Open the application in another browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
- If it works in one but not the other, the issue is likely specific to the browser’s settings or installed extensions.
