**Truck Tracker **is an IHG initiative to integrate customer orders and delivery details from the stores’ POS system to IHG. These requests will then be integrated into a third-party logistics management service provider (GetSwift).
When the IHG delivery management system feature code is turned on for a store, all customer orders that require delivery will be passed to the IHG delivery management system when:
- created/updated in either ProStix, Trade Portal, ETM, SalesRep, P&D or Frameworks for the purposes of delivery pre-scheduling
- that order is released/invoiced
Truck tracking relies on the task scheduler to be running to pick up the queued notification events and process them. The notification events will create an XML to send to the IHG Distribution Management System (DMS) which will communicate with GetSwift to handle deliveries.
