# Overview

The **LOC **feature code allows you to enable the **Stock by Location **function within Frameworks. Basically, it allows for a product to be stocked and counted at multiple locations. 

> ℹ️ Stock can still be allocated to Multiple Fixed Locations without the LOC feature, however, stock control will still be managed at the branch level.

# <span style="color: #172b4d">Setup</span>

<span style="color: #172b4d">In addition to </span><span style="color: #172b4d">**activating **</span><span style="color: #172b4d">the </span><span style="color: #172b4d">**LOC **</span><span style="color: #172b4d">feature code, the following are also required to be defined:</span>

## 1. Branch Maintenance

To use the **Stock by Location** function for a specific branch, from the [Branch Maintenance](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28390994) perform the following:

1. For the required branches, scroll to the right and enable the checkbox in the **Stock by Location **and **Multiple Fixed Locations **columns.
2. Click **Save** to commit the changes.

## 2. Warehouse Locations

Warehouse locations (or Stock/Product Locations) will need to be defined in order to stock products by location.

## 3. Product Locations

Once you have defined your Warehouse (Stock/Product) locations, you can then define which products are to be added to the locations.

## 4. Information about Products with Multiple locations  

Only One Primary location per product per branch

# <span style="color: #172b4d">Module Impact</span>

## 1. Point of Sale 

When the above is activated and a branch is defined to use **Stock by Locatiostock **will be deducted from the primary location. 

## 2. Picking & Release

When the above is activated and a branch is defined to use **Stock by Location, **locations are added at the picking stage. This allows for stock levels to be adjusted per location.

## 3. Inventory

When the above is activated and a branch is defined to use **Stock by Location**

- A stocktake needs to define the locations you are counting.

## 4. Receipting

When the above is activated and a branch is defined to use **Stock by Location **you can receipt the stock into a location.
