# Overview

Using **Security Group Maintenance**, you are able to configure which users are able to use and access certain dashboards and the functions within.

# How to Configure the Dashboards

To configure the dashboards so only selected users can view certain content, complete the following:

## 1. Accessing Security Group Maintenance

Click the **Frameworks Menu** and navigate to **System Administration > Users & Security > Users > Security Group Maintenance **from the navigation tree.

## 2. Navigating Security Group Maintenance

To navigate **Security Group Maintenance**, complete the following:

1. Enter the **Security Group** name and/or **Description** and click **Find**.
2. Click the hyperlink of the security group to open the **Security Group Maintenance** screen and maintain the security group.
3. Alternatively, click **New** to create a new user security group.

## 3. Configuring Access to the Dashboards

To configure access to the dashboards, complete the following:

1. Under the **Menu **header and in the **Menus** tab, there is a list of menu items. Click your desired dashboard hyperlink to open the **Security Group Access **window.

2. Enable and disable the elements you do/do not want the users within the security group to access.

> ⚠️ Enabling the parent item will enable the children as well. Expand the parents as needed to change access to the child categories.

3. Click **Save** to finalise your changes.
