# Overview

Before the **Product Offcut **~~**S**~~**cratchpad** functionality can be used the following system administration configurations must be completed.

# Security Group Maintenance

From the Frameworks menu navigate to **System Administration > Users & Security > Users > Security Group Maintenance **and then ensure the following **Activities** are added to your Users required Security Groups.

| **Frameworks Activity** | **Security Group Access Path** |
| --- | --- |
| **ProductOffcutView** | Inventory > Maintenance > Product Offcuts > Product Offcut + New Product Offcuts |

# Product Configuration 

For a product to be able to track and maintain offcuts, perform the following.

> ℹ️ Only Non-Tally products can be enabled to maintain offcuts.

1. Navigate to **Product Maintenance **and select the required product to be configured
2. Under the **Key details **section, enable the** Maintain Offcut Scratchpad **checkbox.
