# Overview
The **Price Enquiry** option allows you to review the Product Pricing for a customer, including a combination of standard sell, discount modules, default customer contracts, default national contracts, and promotions. This option does not take into account job contracts or promotional pricing.
Products with a [price rounding method](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/585826307) assigned in **Product Maintenance** display rounded sell prices in the **Retail/Customer Price** grid. The prices shown reflect the rounded GST-inclusive sell price stored in the product record.
# Accessing Price Enquiry
There are two ways to access Price Enquiry from the home **Dashboard**:
- Click the **Frameworks Menu, **then search for **Price Enquiry **in the search field**.**
- Click **Frameworks** **> Inventory > Enquiries **> **Price Enquiry** from the navigation tree.
# Navigating Price Enquiry
The **Price Enquiry** is divided into 5 main sections:
1. The **Search Options**
2. The **Retail/Customer Price** Grid
3. The **Contract** Grid
4. The **Volume Discounts** Grid
5. The **Promotions** Grid
## 1. The Search Options
To enquire about prices, use the filter options to enter the **Branch**, **Product**, **Customer**, **Discount Group ID**, and **Contract**, then click **Find**. Alternatively, you can leave all fields blank to search all price inquiries and click **Find**.
> ℹ️ You are also able to view prices after drilling into a product within the Product Details section on the Product Dashboard. If accessed via the Product Details section within the Product Dashboard, the Branch ID and Product ID fields are already populated.

**Branch**
Select the** ***Branch* related to the customer price enquiry via the drop-down arrow.

**Product**
Enter the *Product ID* related to the customer price enquiry or search for it via the **Search** icon.

**Customer**
Enter the* Customer ID* related to the price enquiry or search for it via the **Search** icon. If you want to see all pricing regardless of customer, then leave this field blank.

**Discount Group ID**
Select the* Discount Group *that is assigned to the customer's account via the drop-down arrow. A Discount Group is a way of grouping customers who attract the same level of discount. For example, builders may attract a 2.5% discount while project builders may attract a 5% discount. If you want to see all pricing regardless of discount groups, leave this field blank.
## 2. The Retail/Customer Price Grid
The **Retail/Customer Price** **Grid** allows you to view pricing information for the chosen customer enquiry.

> ℹ️ You will see the pricing type, "Retail" or "Customer," on the far-left side of the Grid.
**Price Method**
Displays the pricing method that was used to determine the Customer Price, based on the **Customer **selected.

**Sell (Exc)**
Displays the sell price applicable to the pricing type, excluding GST.

**Sell (Inc)**
Displays the sell price applicable to the Pricing Type, including GST.

**Disc %**
Displays the discount percentage applied to the sell price.

**G.P. %**
Displays the gross profit percentage applied to the sell price.

## 3. The Contracts Grid
The **Contracts Grid** allows you to view contract details for the chosen customer enquiry.

**Contract**
Displays all the contracts that the product is related to.

**Description**
Displays a short description about the contract.

**Product/Group**
Displays the Product or Product Group where the contract is applied.

**Sell (Exc) **
Displays the product's **Contract Sell **price (excluding GST) for the contract line.

**Sell (Inc)**
Displays the product's **Contract Sell **price (including GST) for the contract line.

**Disc %**
Displays the product's **Contract Discount **percentage value for the contract line.

**G.P. %**
Displays the product's **gross profit %** for the contract line.

## 4. The Volume Discounts Grid
The **Volume Discounts Grid** allows you to view further volume discount information for the chosen customer price enquiry.

**Quantity**
Displays the cut-off quantity for the volume discount.

**Sell (Exc)**
Displays the sell price applicable to volume discount excluding GST.

**Sell (Inc) **
Displays the sell price applicable to volume discount including GST.

**Disc %**
Displays the discount percentage applicable for volume discount that fall into this quantity break.

**G.P. %**
Displays the gross profit % applicable to volume discount that fall into this quantity break.

## 5. The Promotions Grid
The **Promotions Grid** allows you to view further promotion information for the chosen customer price enquiry.

**Promotion**
Displays the associated promotions.

**Description**
Displays a short description about the contract.

**Product/Group**
Displays the **Product/ Product Group **where a promotion is applied.

**Sell (Exc)**
Displays the product's **Promotion Sell **price (excluding GST) for the promotion.

**Sell (Inc)**
Displays the product's **Promotion Sell **price (including GST) for the promotion.

**Disc %**
Displays the product's **promotion discount **percentage value for the promotion.

**G.P. %**
Displays the product's **gross profit %** for the promotion.
