# Overview

**Stock Movements** allows you to enquire on product movements.

# <span style="color: #003366">Accessing Stock Movements</span>

<span style="color: #333333">There are two ways to access product stock movements from the home </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Dashboard</span>**<span style="color: #333333">:</span>

- <span style="color: #333333">Click </span>**Frameworks****<span style="color: #333333"> </span>**<span style="color: #333333">then search for </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Stock Movements </span>**<span style="color: #333333">in the search field</span>**<span style="color: #333333">. </span>**
- Click **Frameworks** **<span style="color: #333333">> </span>****Inventory >Enquiries **> **<span style="color: #333333">Stock Movements</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> from the navigation tree.</span>

# <span style="color: #003366">Searching for stock movements</span>

To search for product stock movements, from the home **Dashboard** perform the following: 

1. Click **Frameworks** **> Inventory > Enquiries **> **Stock Movements** from the navigation tree.
2. Using the filter options, adjust the default **Branch** if desired and/or type the **From Date and/or Product ID **or search via **Search**, then click **Find**, alternately leave all fields blank to search all stock adjustments, then click **Find**. <span style="color: #333333">The link below provides you with a screenshot and the information you may enter.</span>

> ℹ️ - At a minimum, a product should be selected and will be automatically displayed if you arrived here from the **Product Dashboard**.
> ℹ️ - One months of movements are searched at your default Branch if you have not changed the **Branch** or **From Date** fields.

| **Field** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| **Branch** | Type the Branch ID of the Product you are wanting to inquire upon or search for it via **Search**. |
| **From Date** | Defaults to 30 days prior the current date as it is generally the most recent movement details that are required or use the date finder **Show Date Chooser** to search. |
| **Product** | Type the Product ID for or search for it via **Search**. |
| **Exclude Zero** | Enable the checkbox to exclude value only movements with zero quantity, such as stock re-average. |

3. The initial results on the left side of the screen display the following information:

| --- | --- |
| **Date** | <span style="color: #333333">Displays the date that the product movement occurred.</span><span style="color: #ff0000"> </span> |
| **Reference** | <span style="color: #333333">Displays a more detailed reference to the transaction, such as the customer name for an account sale. This value is underlined and can be clicked on to view the details of the stock movement.</span> |
| **Opening Stock** | Displays the opening stock for the selected product. |
| **Opening Avg Cost** | Displays the average cost before before the stock movement. Note that the average cost will not be displayed if you're not using average cost. |
| **Qty** | Displays the quantity of products for the movement. |
| **UM** | Displays the stocking product UOM used for the specific movement. |
| **Unit Cost** | Displays the product unit cost for this movement. For a receipt in particular, this may differ from the Standard Unit Cost of the product. |
| **Closing Avg Cost** | Displays the average cost after the stock movement. |

4. <span style="color: #333333">Once the results are displayed, click the relevant </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Reference </span>**<span style="color: #333333">link</span><span style="color: #ff0000"> </span><span style="color: #333333">to view further product movement information</span><span style="color: #ff0000"> </span><span style="color: #333333">on the right side of the screen. </span>

| **Field** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| **Product** | <span style="color: #333333">Displays the Product ID.</span> |
| **Branch** | Displays the Branch ID where the stock movement occurred. |
| **Current Stock** | Displays the current stock for the selected product. |
| **UOM** | Displays the stocking UOM for the selected product. |
| **Standard Cost** | Displays the [standard](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28390208/Costing+Methods+in+Frameworks#Standard-Costing) cost of the product. |
| **Average Cost** | If applicable, displays the current [average](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28390208/Costing+Methods+in+Frameworks#Average-Costing) cost of the product at this branch. |
| **Fields within the** **Movements tab** |

| **Title** | <span style="color: #333333">Displays the high-level information about the stock movement transaction, such as invoice number for a sale of stock.</span> |
| **Date / Time** | <span style="color: #333333">Displays the date & time of the stock movement</span> |
| **Transaction ** | <span style="color: #333333">Displays the Description of the stock movement such as 'Invoice' for a sale of stock.</span> |
| **Type** | Displays the transaction type for the stock movement such as 'Charge sale' or 'Cash sale' or 'Stock Receipt' for a sale of stock. |
| **Cust/Supplier** | Displays the Name of the Supplier or Customer in the case where the transaction involves one or the other. For a stock adjustment which involves neither, this field will be blank. |
| **Line No.** | Displays the line number on the transaction that the stock movement occurred. In the case of a sale for instance, this would be '5' for the first line on the sale. |
| **Qty** | Displays the quantity of stock moved |
| **Opening Average Cost** | Displays the unit average cost of the product at this branch prior to the stock movement.<span style="color: #ff0000"> </span> |
| **Unit Cost ** | Displays the unit cost at the time of the stock movement. |
| **Freight** | Displays the freight involved in the stock movement. |
| **Line Cost** | Displays the line cost of the stock movement based on the cost at that point in time. |
| **Unit Sell** | Displays the<span style="color: #ff0000"> </span><span style="color: #333333">product Unit Sell, GST exclusive for this stock movement. This will not show a value for non sales related stock movements.</span> |
| **User ID** | Displays the User ID of the operator that processed the transaction that led to this stock movement. |
| **Reason** | Displays the reason for the stock movement, such as a stock adjustment reason like 'Damaged Goods Write Off'. This value will not display on most movements. |
| **Comments** | Displays any comments related to the product movement. These might be comments on a sales transaction. |

There may have for instance been 28.2 lm of timber shown on a sale movement and then the lengths might show it to be made up of 10 X 2.4m lengths and 2 2.X 1m lengths. |
| **Qty** | Displays the number of lengths for this stock movement. |
| **Length** | Displays the length of the product for this stock movement. |

5. Click **Transaction Details **to view further stock movement transactional information.
