# Overview of the Signature Pad Integration with Frameworks

Point Of Sale has the ability to integrate with electronic signature pads for the capture of account customer signatures as proof of purchase, which eliminates the filing and retrieval of signed dockets whenever a customer requires proof of pickup.

When prompted, POS operators are able to enter a customer’s name and capture their signature on a signature pad. This is date and time stamped for use on stationery immediately if desired and in the future. The captured signature is securely stored within the database and can be reproduced onto the same invoice when printed, email or faxed.

The signature can output on Invoices, Statements and some POS dockets.

<span style="color: #003366">Prerequisities for Signature Pads</span>

<span style="color: #003366">The prerequisites for integrating Signature Pads with Frameworks are:</span>

- <span style="color: #003366">Signature Pad devices connect via USB. Each signature Pad at POS will require its own Windows PC with access to a USB port.</span>
- <span style="color: #003366">Windows PC's being used require NET FrameWorks 2.0 minimum for the Universal Installer</span>

# Steps to Implement Signature Pads

#### 1:  Requirements

- Identify requirements for Signature Pads as per [Prerequisites ](https://sterkb.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/resumedraft.action?draftId=556175257#SignaturePadOverview-detrack)outlined above.

#### 2. Agree Scope of Work

- Approve Quotation
- Customer to Purchase Signature Pad device/s as per [Supported Signature Pad Devices - Frameworks](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28409070)
- Sterland confirm timeline and resources

#### 3. Configuration and Setup

- Configuration of client and server to handle Signature Pad integration
- Invoice template modification to allow output of signature captured at POS

#### 4. Training & Staff Readiness

- Walkthrough of functionality and handover to customer to complete testing.

#### 5. Go Live

- Sterland to provide remote support during go live cut over.

#### 6. Support & BAU

- Services team to handover to support for ongoing BAU support as per the standard support maintenance agreement.
