# Overview

Linkly has been connecting people, payments and POS throughout Australia and New Zealand. Linkly provides software that connects Frameworks's Point of Sale module with your EFTPOS terminal, enabling real-time communication and transaction processing.

# Hardware

The pinpad hardware & merchant ID numbers are supplied by your bank.

# License

Each Integrated Eftpos machine requires a valid license code generated by Sterland.

# Windows PC

Two main components are installed on this PC: Linkly Client Software and DosToActiveX

- The Linkly software manages communication to/from the pinpad and to/from the bank. It is generally installed under C:\PC_EFT on the windows PC.
- Linkly DosToActiveX software manages communication to/from Frameworks via file interface. This program allows Frameworks to communicate with the Pin Pad. It is activated on the client PC and monitors a pre-determined directory into which Frameworks will place a file when it wishes to start an EFT transaction. DosToActiveX should be set to start automatically with Windows.

# Frameworks Configuration

In Frameworks System Administration - Printers and Devices - Device Maintenance - set the Eftpos Supplier code for each device using Integrated Eftpos. Example:

# Frameworks Tailoring Codes and Flags

## System Settings - General

In System Administration - Miscellaneous Table Maintenance - **System Settings - General**, ensure the value of the following is set:

| Code | Value | Setting Purpose |
| --- | --- | --- |
| SysEftDir | /prostix/dmp/eftpos | Directory for Eftpos Work Files |

## System Settings - Flags

In System Administration - Miscellaneous Table Maintenance - **System Settings - Flags**, the following settings apply:

| **Code** | **Setting/Purpose** |
| --- | --- |
| IEFTRecReq | IEFTRecReq determines whether Frameworks should wait for this second file before completing the transaction.<br>If the site's PC Eftpos prints its own docket then this flag should be set to 'NO' |

## System Settings - Numeric

In System Administration - Miscellaneous Table Maintenance - **System Settings - Numeric**, the following settings apply:

| **Code** | **Setting/Purpose** |
| --- | --- |
| IEFTTime | Determines how long Frameworks should keep polling to look for the file from PCEftpos that say the transaction is finished.<br>If not set the system will default to 60 seconds. |

# Frameworks Linux Server

Each PC device name with a connected Eftpos device needs a separate subfolder under prostix/dmp/eftpos/

> 📝 For example: /prostix/dmp/eftpos/reg99 (where reg99 is the PC device name in Frameworks).

This is where all eft files are sent and stored.
