<span style="color: #333333">When an </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Event</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> is triggered in Frameworks a </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Notification </span>**<span style="color: #333333">can be automatically created and displayed in the notification section of the </span><span style="color: #333333">[Copy of About the Frameworks Home Dashboard](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/createpage.action?spaceKey=fram&title=Copy%20of%20About%20the%20Frameworks%20Home%20Dashboard&linkCreation=true&fromPageId=28408822)</span><span style="color: #333333"> for the assigned user to follow up.</span>

This process explains how to create a notification based on an event being triggered.

# How to Create a Notification Action

To set up an automated Frameworks Notification action, perform the following: 

## Subscribe to the Frameworks event

The first step to automating a Frameworks Notification is to subscribe to the required event so you can then add the **Notification **action when the event is triggered. To do this, perform the following:

## Add a Notification Action

Now that the event has been subscribed to, you can add the **Notification **action. To do this, perform the following:

> 
> 1. In the **Actions Details** section, click **Add**.
> 2. From the **Action **drop-down menu, select **Notification.**
> 3. Enable the **Subscribed** checkbox to subscribe the person's Frameworks User ID to the notification.
> 
> > ℹ️ You can disable the **Subscribed ** checkbox any time to disable the notification.
> 
> 4. In the **Description field**, enter a description to explain what the email is for, for example, "Send a Framework user notification".
> 5. If required, in the **Condition **field, enter any condition text to help filter the email requirements.
>

> 6. Enter the required notification details as follows:

> a. In the **To **field, enter in a valid **User ID** for who is required to receive the notification. Depending on the reason for the notification, you might use a variable event code, for example, **User ID**: {order:idAssignee} 
> 
> > ℹ️ You can send notifications to multiple User IDs by separating each User ID with a comma.
> 
> b. In the **Subject **and **Body **fields, enter the subject and message you would like added to the notification received by the User.
> 
> > **Example**
> > 
> > - Subject: Order notification: {order:numTran}
> > - Body: The order {order:numTran} has been sent and assigned to you
>

> 7. Click **Save** to add the **Notification** action to the Event.

> > ℹ️ Multiple **Notification **actions can be added to a single Event ID.
