# Overview

**Scheduled Notification Tasks** are the background tasks scheduled to run on the [Scheduler Administration ](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28405088)that scan the database and register an event within the Notifications Event Queue. Any subscribed actions such as [Create-Task Action](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28391066), Send an [SMS Action](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28383270), [Email Action](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28408730) or [Notification Action](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28408822) will then be triggered as part of this event.

Once scheduled and run, the **Sales Orders Required Delivery Date Past **Scheduled Task searches Frameworks for any confirmed Sales Orders where the required delivery date has passed, as per the date set in the **Cut Off **field for the branches specified via the **Branch List** field.

# Scheduling the Sales Orders Required Delivery Date Past Task

To create the Sales Orders Required Delivery Date Past Notification Task and schedule it, perform the following:

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu**, and navigate to **Systems Administration > Event Notifications > Notification Tasks > Sales Orders Required Delivery Date Past **from the navigation tree.
2. If applicable, modify the** Cut Off **date to the date you would like the scheduled task to search for Sales Orders where the delivery date has passed. It defaults to today's date.

> ℹ️ For the Cut Off field, you can use one of the text variables date options. The current list of text variable options are:
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ - **@start_of_month**: First day of the current month
> ℹ️ - **@end_of_month**: Last day of the current month
> ℹ️ - **@start_of_year**: First day of the current calendar year
> ℹ️ - **@end_of_year**: Last day of the current calendar year
> ℹ️ - **@today**: Today's date
> ℹ️ All the above variables can have a + or - days, months, years added to them, for example, @today + 1 = tomorrow)

> ⚠️ **Note:** You cannot future date the **Cut Off** Date field in this scheduled task. The **Cut Off** date does not include the date specified, i.e. if you select today, orders with a delivery date BEFORE BUT NOT EQUAL TO today will be found.

3. If applicable, type the branch number/s to search for Sales Orders where the delivery date has passed in the **Branch List** field.

> **Example:**
> Enter 10 to search branch 10 only. Enter 10,11 to search in branches 10 & 11. Use the * key to search all branches.

4. If applicable, modify the number of days in the **Ignore Orders Past (Days)** field to ignore older Sales Orders where the delivery date has passed. It defaults to 30 days.

> **Example:**
> If you enter 10, the scheduled task will not search Frameworks for Sales Orders where the delivery date has exceeded 10 or more days ago.

> ⚠️ Remember, the **Ignore Orders Past (Days)** field uses the Cut-Off date value as the reference date to count back from.

5. Enable** Report Only **to only create an error file report. If enabled, **it will not create any event. **
6. Click the **Scheduled **tab to schedule when the Sales Orders Required Delivery Date Past scheduled task should run.

> ⚠️ When creating a scheduled task, for a selected cycle, ensure that you use the text variables on the report criteria tab or the task will be run for the specific dates selected.

> ✅ Refer to [Scheduled Task - Scheduling and Output ](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28402256) to update this information.

7. Click **Submit** to submit the task.
8. If you run the task immediately, the **Output **tab displays the results of the completed task, and you can click on the reports generated.  If run later, the [Task Scheduler Queue](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28405088/Scheduler+Administration#%5BinlineExtension%5DTask-Scheduler-Queue) contains the output.
