The **Discount Groups** option allows you to create and maintain Discount Groups within a customer's Frameworks system.
A Discount Group is a way of grouping customers who attract the same level of discount. Discount Groups are often organised according to a particular trade. For example, builders may attract a 2.5% discount while project builders may attract a 5% discount.
> ⚠️ Multiple Discount Groups can be assigned to a Customer Group to allow flexible discounting. Refer to [Customer Groups ](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28405190) for further information.

## Creating a Discount Group
To create a **Discount Group**, from the home **Dashboard** perform the following:
1. Click the **Frameworks Menu**, then type **Discount Groups** (or select **Discount Groups **from within the **System Administration** - **System Tables** navigation tree).
2. Click **Add** to create a new Discount Group.
3. Type a *discount group code* in the **Discount Code **field. This is a mandatory field, and the code should be unique.
4. Type a *discount group description* in the **Discount Description **field.
5. Click **Save**.
## Modifying a Discount Group
To modify a **Discount Group**, from the home **Dashboard** perform the following:
1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** then type **Discount Groups** (or select **Discount Groups **from within the **System Administration** navigation tree).
2. Click on the appropriate *Discount Code* to be updated, then use your key to move through the fields and make the necessary updates.
3. Click **Save**.
## Deleting a Discount Group
To delete a **Discount Group**, from the home **Dashboard** perform the following:
1. Click the **Frameworks Menu**, then type **Discount Groups** (or select **Discount Groups **from within the **System Administration** navigation tree).
2.Highlight the appropriate *Discount Code* to be deleted.
3. Click **Remove**.
