# <span style="color: #333333">Overview</span>

<span style="color: #333333">The </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Contacts </span>**<span style="color: #333333">option allows you to create and maintain contacts for a Customer, Supplier or Miscellaneous Contact. You can have unlimited contacts for each Customer or Supplier. Contacts allow you to record additional information, such as e-mail addresses. </span>

<span style="color: #333333">Once a contact has been created, the information is displayed in various areas, including the </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Customer</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> and </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Supplier Dashboard</span>**<span style="color: #333333">.</span>

# Navigating the Contacts Screen

The **Contacts** screen is made up of 4 main sections:

1. The **Search** field.
2. **New Contact** action button.
3. Results grid.
4. Attributes

## 1. The Search Field

Use this field to search for any existing contact. You can use any of the following information to search for a contact:

- Name or partial name
- Contact ID
- Home phone
- Mobile phone
- Business phone
- Email address

Click **Find** to search for your contact.

## 2. New Contact Button

Click **New Contact** to open the **Contact Popup Maintenance** window and create a new contact.

## 3. Results Grid

Contains a list of contacts that match the search criteria along with some basic information. Click the **ID** hyperlink or the > Macro (inline-media-image)

 icon to edit the contact.

## 4. Attributes

Contains a list of the assigned attributes of the currently selected contact in the results grid.

> ⚠️ If a customer attribute has the **Auto Add **checkbox enabled in [Define Attributes ](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28382778), it will appear here automatically upon the creation of the customer contact.
