# Overview

The **Backorder Reason Codes **miscellaneous table is used in Sales Order Processing when backordering a product.

# Viewing Backorder Reason Codes

1. Click the Frameworks Menu, then navigate to **System Administration > System Tables > Miscellaneous Table Maintenance** from the navigation tree.
2. Into the **Table** field, type **Reason Codes - Backorder Reason Codes**, then click **Find**.
3. A current list of the backorder reason codes is displayed.

# Creating Backorder Reason Codes

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu**, then navigate to **System Administration > System Tables > Miscellaneous Table Maintenance** from the navigation tree.
2. Into the **Table** field, enter **Reason Codes - Backorder Reason Codes, **then click **Find**.
3. Click **Add**.
4. Into the **Company** field, enter the **Company **to apply the reason code to.

> ⚠️ A message is displayed if you do not have access to a particular Company *"You do not have access to Company nn"*.

5. In the **Code** field, enter the **Reason Code**.
6. In the **Description field,** enter a **description** for the Reason Code
7. Enable the **Delivery Charge** field if a delivery charge is applicable for the backorder reason code.
8. Click **Save**.

# <span style="color: #000000">Maintaining Backorder Reason Codes</span>

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu**, then navigate to **System Administration > System Tables > Miscellaneous Table Maintenance** from the navigation tree.
2. Into the **Table** field type **Reason Codes - Backorder Reason Codes**,then click **Find**.
3. A current list of the backorder reason codes is displayed.
4. Click on the required field to make your changes.
5. Click **Save**.
