# Overview

**Ledger Loan Accounts** allows you to assign a Company to a Ledger Loan account and is used in a multi Company environment where an inter company posting needs to occur between different companies on the same database.

## Accessing Ledger Loan Accounts

To access Ledger Loan Accounts, perform the following:

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** then type **Ledger Loan Accounts **(or select** Ledger Loan Accounts **from within the **General Ledger - Maintenance **navigation tree).

## Searching for existing Ledger Loan Accounts

To search for existing Ledger Loan Accounts, perform the following:

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** then type **Ledger Loan Accounts **(or select** Ledger Loan Accounts **from within the **General Ledger - Maintenance **navigation tree).
2. Search for the Ledger Loan Account by the **Company**, then click **Find**.

## Adding a Ledger Loan Account

Frameworks supports users that operate across multiple companies. 

To add a Ledger Loan Account (that is, create an Inter Company Loan Account), perform the following:

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** then type **Ledger Loan Accounts **(or select** Ledger Loan Accounts **from within the **General Ledger - Maintenance **navigation tree).
2. Click **New**.
3. Select the *home company* *from where the posting will originate* from via the drop-down arrow in the **Home Company** field.
4. Select the *loan company* *to where the posting will be made* via the drop-down arrow in the **Loan Company** field.
5. Search for Account No. using the **Search** icon, then *select the GL Account No from the Chart Of Accounts where the intercompany posting will be made* in the **Account No.** field.

6. Click **Save**.

## Maintaining a Ledger Loan Account

To maintain an existing Ledger Loan Account, perform the following:

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** then type **Ledger Loan Accounts **(or select** Ledger Loan Accounts **from within the **General Ledger - Maintenance **navigation tree).
2. Search for the Ledger Loan Account you would like to maintain, then click **Find**.
3. Click the *Account No* link to open the Ledger Loan Account you wish to update.
4. Make your changes to the **Loan Company** or **Account No.** fields, then click **Save**.

> ℹ️ If editing an existing account, the *Home Company* is fixed based on the selected Company drop down.

## Deleting a Ledger Loan Account

To delete an existing Ledger Loan Account, perform the following:

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** then type **Ledger Loan Accounts **(or select** Ledger Loan Accounts **from within the **General Ledger - Maintenance **navigation tree).
2. Search for the Ledger Loan Account you would like to delete, then click **Find**.
3. Click the *Account No* link to open the Ledger Loan Account you wish to delete.
4. Click **Delete**, then **Yes - Perform Delete**.
