The **Ledger Reporting Chart Maintenance** option enables you to setup the locations for the G/L accounts in your Financial Reports. Specifically, you setup the chart sequence for the **Category**, **Type**, **Sub Type** and **Instance** fields used when [Creating a new Chart Of Accounts](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/fwksproau/pages/30510074). 

## Creating a new chart sequence

To create a new chart sequence, perform the following:

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu** then type **Ledger Reporting Chart Maintenance **(or select **Ledger Reporting Chart Maintenance** from within the **General Ledger - Maintenance** navigation tree).

2. Click **Insert** to create a new chart sequence.

3. Choose the appropriate **Category**, **Account Type**, **Sub Type** and **Instance** from the drop-down selection. Categories, Account Types, Sub Types and Instances are all defined in [GL Table Maintenance ](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28385052).

4. Click **Save** when completed.

## Deleting a chart sequence

> ⚠️ You can only delete a chart sequence if there are no G/L accounts attached. Chart sequences that can be deleted have a **Delete** icon beside them. Anything without a **Delete** icon has a G/L account attached.

To delete a chart sequence, perform the following:

1. Select **Ledger Reporting Chart Maintenance** from within the **General Ledger-Maintenance **navigation tree.

2. All chart sequences are displayed.

3. Click **Delete** to delete the chart sequence.
