The **Frameworks Licence Maintenance** module is used to maintain the number of *active* users that a company can have at the same time. Active users are defined via the *Login Disabled* field in User Maintenance. If a user has a *Max Sessions *count of 3, then that user consumes 3 licences. Refer to [Creating a Frameworks User ID](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28386228) for further information.

Frameworks checks the number of *active* accounts when an update is saved in Users. If the customer is under the new Frameworks licencing model then the number of *active* defined users must be less than the licence count. If an attempt is made to add additional users that exceed the licence count, the following error message is displayed:

## Process for Logging Out of Frameworks

When logging out of Frameworks, users must log out using the Logout option in Frameworks and NOT simply close the browser.

If a user simply closes the browser session, Frameworks effectively still maintains a foot print of that user for around 10 minutes. So that user is taking up a license count in both a concurrent and named user model.
