Overview The  Quick  Branch Transfers   option  allows you to quickly create branch transfers of products between a stocking branch and a receiving branch. No despatch or receipting is required and the change is instantaneous. Performing a Quick Transfer To  quickly create a branch transfer,   perform the following: Click on the step below for more information.  Navigate to Quick Transfers Click   then navigate to  Transaction Processing > Purchasing and Receipting > Quick Transfers  from the navigation tree. NOTE:  To the left of the screen, you will see an overview of all current branch transfers by stocking branch and receiving branch. Be aware that there can only be one transfer active at a time per branch combination. Click the  Stocking Branch  hyperlink to open more detail. Create a New Quick Transfer Click   to create a new branch transfer. From the  Stocking Branch  drop-down menu select the branch you are moving stock from  From the  Receiving Branch  drop-down menu select the branch the stock is going to. The  Default Document Link  is pre-populated, however can be changed. The value entered here will appear on each line of the transfer. Add the Products Click   to add products to be transferred. In the  Prod  field, enter the product Id or click  to open the  Product Finder.  Once entered t he following details are automatically  updated : The Product  Description  is automatically updated The  UOM  is automatically assigned if a single UOM product, otherwise you are required to assign the UOM for multiple UOM's. The  On Hand  displays the per unit of this product that is on hand at the selected branch. The  Qty Avail  displays the total (including any back orders and any outstanding branch transfers) available units of this product. The  Unit Cost  displays the cost per unit for the selected product. On a branch transfer with products whose average cost is different from a stock branch to a receipting branch, the cost is adjusted to the correct amount. On a branch transfer with products whose standard cost is different from a stock branch to a receipting branch, the difference is written off against the gains and losses account for the receipting branch. Depending on the type of product added, perform the following: Standard Product When transferring standard products, into the  Transfer Qty  field enter the number of products being transferred. The  Transfer Qty  field will update the line cost field (calculated as unit cost x transfer qty).  Tally Products When transferring tally  products a  Click the   button, to the right of the product lines. From the  Tally Maintenance  window,  Add the  Quantity  and  Length  of the tally product you wish to transfer, then click  .   You will see a  Receipting tally products updates the corresponding product lengths displayed on the  Product Dashboard  . The  Transfer Qty  field will update the line cost field (calculated as unit cost x transfer qty).  Packs When transferring tally  products a  Click the   button, to the right of the product lines. Click    to enter the pack number into the  Pack No  field or click   to open the  Pack Multi Section  window to search and select available packs from that branch. More information about the Pack Multi Selection. The  Pack Multi Selection  window opens displaying the  In Stock  and  Allocated  packs for the  Stocking Branch. You can refine the search results by  Branch, Pack From  and  To, Length  and  Status.  Click   once the search criteria have been updated Tick   the checkbox/s for the pack/s you wish to transfer. Click   to add the selected packs to the  Pack Selection  window. Only  In Stock  pack can be added to a transfer. Click   to add the pack/s to the branch transfer. Post the Quick Transfer Click   to initiate the quick branch transfer.   When completed, stock movement records are created between each of the branches to allow for easier stock reconciliation.
