Refer to the below guides for information on managing Warehouse and Assembly Locations in Frameworks:

### Create a New Warehouse Location

| **Step** | **Task** |
| --- | --- |
| 1 | From the Frameworks hamburger menu go to **Inventory - Maintenance - Warehouse Locations.** |
| 2 | Click **New**. The **Warehouse Location Details **popup screen will be displayed. |
| 3 | Select the required **branch** from the drop-down menu. |
| 4 | Enter the Branch **zone**,** aisle**,** Bay**,** Level**,** and Bin Number.** |
| 5 | Enable the pickable tick box to allow this warehouse location to be available for picking. |
| 6 | A 14-digit Location Code will automatically be created based on the information entered into the Branch, Zone, Aisle, Bay, Level and Bin fields (BBBZZAABBLLNNN). You may override this unique code if you want and enter your own Location Code up to 15 characters in length. |
| 7 | Click **Save**. The created warehouse location can now be added via Product Maintenance to a product/s within **Product Branch Stock **information. |

Create Warehouse Locations via Import

| **Step** | **Task** |
| --- | --- |
| 1 | From the Frameworks hamburger menu go to **Inventory - Maintenance - Warehouse Locations.** |
| 2 | From the Warehouse Locations Dashboard select from the **Actions** button select "Import". The **Warehouse Locations **Schedule task program will be invoked. |
| 3 | Users can download a blank template to use for the import by selecting **Download Template Only (No data)** and then clicking the **Download Template **button. The format for the .csv import file is as per below:<br>![image](media://7671df1b-755e-4881-bac4-b50cb7a8fa2d) |
| 4 | Add the Warehouse Locations to the .csv file and save ready for import. |
| 5 | Attached the saved .csv file from step 4 to the scheduled task via the **Upload CSV** button. |
| 6 | Confirm the import options. Tne available options are:<br>- Override existing records
- Report Only<br>Tick **Override existing records** to replace all existing Warehouse Locations, or enable the **Report Only **checkbox to generate a report of the proposed Warehouse Location changes without applying the changes to the system. |
| 7 | Schedule the task to run (if required), alternatively click the **Submit** button to run the task now. |
| 8 | Once complete an output of the task results and status will be available via the **Output **tab. |

Maintain an Existing Warehouse Location

| **Step** | **Task** |
| --- | --- |
| 1 | From the Frameworks hamburger menu go to **Inventory - Maintenance - Warehouse Locations.** |
| 2 | Click **Find** to display all available warehouse locations. Alternatively, refine the search using the **Branch** drop-down menu, and/or the **Location From/To** fields, then click **Find**. |
| 3 | Select the required Location and click on the **Edit** button. The **Warehouse Locations Detail** popup screen will be displayed. |
| 4 | Amend the required data as per Creating a new Warehouse Location. |
| 5 | Click **Save**. |

Delete a Warehouse Location

| **Step** | **Task** |
| --- | --- |
| 1 | From the Frameworks hamburger menu go to **Inventory - Maintenance - Warehouse Locations.** |
| 2 | Click **Find** to display all available warehouse locations. Alternatively, refine the search using the **Branch** drop-down menu, and/or the **Location From/To** fields, then click **Find**. |
| 3 | Select the required Location and click on the **Edit** button. The **Warehouse Locations Detail** popup screen will be displayed. |
| 4 | Click "Delete" button. <span style="color: #232321">If products still exist in this location you will be unable to delete the warehouse location record until all stock has been transferred to another location.</span> |

### Assign a Warehouse Location as an Assembly Location

Define/maintain a list of assembly locations and mark certain locations as ‘Bulk’ locations where more than one order can be assembled.

| **Step** | **Task** |
| --- | --- |
| 1 | To define a location as an ‘**Assembly Location**’, the location must be assigned a **‘Despatch’** zone.<br>> ℹ️ Setting up 'Despatch' zones is done via Prostix. Refer to [Maintain Stock Zones](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/prostix/pages/31103483). |
| 2 | The **‘Assembly Location’** must be set a **‘Pickable** = **no’.** |
| 3 | If a location is marked with a ‘despatch’ zone then the user can also mark the location as ‘**Bulk**’. |
