# Overview

The **Preferred Branches **allows you to assign a customer to their preferred branch.

> ℹ️ When a customer order is imported using [OCR Import Customer Orders](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/122355716), the system checks the preferred branch set for that customer. The order is then allocated to this branch, ensuring each order is sent to the branch the customer prefers.

### Assign Customer to their Preferred Branch

To **assign **a customer to their preferred branch, perform the following: 

1. In Frameworks, click the Frameworks logo to open the Navigation Tree.
2. In the search field, type **Preferred Branches** or select **Sales **>** Maintenance **>**Preferred Branches**.
3. Click **Add** to add the customer.
4. Enter the *customer's number* into the **Customer Number** field or search for it via the **search **button.
5. Enter the *preferred branch* into the **Branch Number** field or search for it via the **search **button.

### Remove Customer from their Preferred Branch

To **remove** a customer from their preferred branch, perform the following:

1. In Frameworks, click the Frameworks logo to open the Navigation Tree.
2. In the search field, enter **Preferred Branches** or select **Sales **>** Maintenance **> **Preferred Branches**.
3. Enter the *customer's number* into the **Customer Number** field or search for it via the **search **button.
4. Highlight the line, then click **Remove** to remove the customer.
