> ⚠️ Kit Header in Product maintenance must have Retain GP (UP) unticked. If this is enabled, then the Sell price of the Kit header will not update when the component price or qty is changed.

# Overview

Frameworks has the ability to add kit products to a customer order and show on the invoice as a single line but allow the exploding of the kit componentry through the linked purchase order process so that the componentry can be ordered and receipted.

# Create a Sales order with Kit Header Product

To create a Sales Order with a Kit Header Product, from the home **Dashboard** perform the following:

1. Click **Frameworks **and navigate to **Sales > Transaction Processing > Sales Orders **from the navigation tree.
2. Start a new Sales Order asp er existing process [Creating a Sales Order](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/fwksproau/pages/30521804)
3. At product entry, enter the Kit Header product as per Kit Maintenance.

Kit Header product ATK998 is added to the Sales Order:

When a picking slip is printed via **Actions** > **Print Options **> **Print Picking Slip**, the Kit Header as well as the Kit Component lines will be displayed to enable picking:

## Create Linked Purchase Order

When creating a [Linked Purchase Order ](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/fwksproau/pages/30523144)only the Kit components are available in the Sales Order Fulfilment screen for selection, allowing the user to order individual kit components as required:

When the user selects **Review Order,** they can also print a copy of the Purchase Order which will show the component product and the Sales Order it is Linked to:

## Receipt Purchase Stock

Once the goods have been received from the supplier, proceed to [Stock Receipting](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28380962) to receipt the Order products ready for picking.

The Sales Order is now reflecting the receipted stock as highlighted green:

> ℹ️ Once receipted, the Stock on Hand balance of the component products will be increased per the qty receipted.

## Pick and Release Kit

Return to the Sales Order to pick and release the Kit. To pick and release the order perform the following:

1. From within the Sales Order, go to the **Actions **button and select **Pick and Release** from the drop-down menu.
2. Pick the Kit Header product.

> ℹ️ Users will not be able to enter a picked qty against the kit components, only the Kit Header Product is available for picking.

3. Select **Complete Picking**, then **Release Order**.

Upon release of the Sales order, the SOH balance of the component parts of the Kit header will be deducted automatically. The COGS of the Kit Header will be calculated from the sum of component product costs and the Sell price of the Kit Header product will be based on the agreed Sell price for the customer.

> ℹ️ Component items will not print on the Delivery Docket or Customer Invoice. Only the Kit Header product will be output.
