# Overview

Once a GL Account ID has been selected, the **Account Details / Balances section** within the **GL Dashboard** provides a monthly summary of all General Ledger balances in date order, along with details of the GL account, and allows you to progressively view full transaction detail/s.

# Account Details / Balances Tabs

## 1. Balances

Allows you to view a monthly summary of all General Ledger balances in date order.

**Account ID**

Displays the Account ID selected.

**Branch**

Displays the Branch associated to the GL account id.

**Name**

Displays the name of the GL account.

**From Date**

Defaults to 12 months prior to the current date. Adjust as needed. **Show Date Chooser **is available to select from.

---

**To Date**

Defaults to today's date. Adjust as needed. **Show Date Choose** is available to select from.

**Find**

To search General Ledger balances based on your search criteria.

Click the appropriate **month** hyperlink (for example, March 2015) to view a list of all the transactions (in the **GL Transactions** section) that have taken place in the month selected.

Click the appropriate **Reference** number link (for example, 990409 in the screenshot) to further drill down on the source transaction or Journals (in the **Source Transactions** or **Journal** sections) that formed part of the G/L transaction.

## 2. Detail

Allows you to view information about the GL Account.
