# Overview

Once a supplier has been selected, the **Diary Notes/Attributes **section within the [Supplier Dashboard](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/fwksproau/pages/30516678) provides supplier diary notes and attribute information for the selected supplier<span style="color: #333333">.</span> 

# The Diary Notes/Attributes Tabs

Refer to the sections below to learn more about the **Diary Notes/Attributes** tabs:

## 1. Diary Notes

Allows you to view and create new diary notes for the selected supplier. 

> ℹ️ A diary note is a short message about the supplier that is held on file. It is usually a reminder to follow-up and/or take action with a supplier. For example, if the supplier has a price increase due at the end of the month, create a diary note to phone them to request the latest price file.

> ⚠️ Depending on your security settings you may have access to both **Secured** and **General** diary notes. The messages displayed depend on your security access settings defined via check box** Secure Diary Access** in [User Maintenance](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28378032).

Click **New Diary Note** to open the **Diary Note Maintenance** window and create a new supplier diary note.

## 2. Attributes

Provides supplier attribute information. Attributes are general purpose items that can be added to customers, suppliers and products.

Click **Maintain **to open [Attribute Maintenance](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28401652) within **System Administration** to create and maintain supplier attributes.

> ⚠️ If a supplier attribute has the **Auto Add **checkbox enabled in [Define Attributes](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28382778), it will appear here automatically upon the creation of the supplier.
