# Overview

Users with the right access are able to operate across multiple companies and easily switch between companies to process and/or enquire on financial transactions from other companies.** **

Users can have access to a single company, all companies (multi_company) or a selected list of companies. 

> ℹ️ **Considerations when switching companies on a regular basis:**
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ The device that you are logged into changes when you switch between companies. As a result, if you are going to be switching between companies on a regular basis, you may want to consider defining a device for each of the companies you have access to. The primary reason is that a Till ID is defined against a device and tills are often Branch and Company-specific. So, in order for the till you are working in to change the device also needs to be changed. Default printers are defined against a device, so if you don't change devices, the documents you print may not go to your desired location or what you believe is your "default location".

# Switching Between Companies

To switch between companies, from the [Frameworks Home dashboard](https://kb.myframeworks.com.au/space/FRAM/595789009/Home+Dashboard+Configuration), perform the following:

1. Close all tabs within your Frameworks session.

> ℹ️ If you haven't closed all your tabs, you won't be able to switch companies.

2. From the **Company **drop-down menu, select the **Company **you wish to enquire upon and click **Change**.
3. The company you have switched to is displayed in the top right corner of the screen.
