# Overview

**Promotions** allow you to create and maintain promotion prices for all or selected customers. All transactions for these customers that include products or product groups on promotion attract the special promotion prices specified for the period allocated.

# Accessing the Promotions Dashboard

To access Promotions Dashboard, perform the following:

1. Click **Frameworks **and navigate to **Special Pricing > Maintenance > Promotions **from the navigation tree.
2. Click **Find **to view all of the promotions in Frameworks for the selected branch

> ℹ️ The **Branch** field defaults to the current session branch.

# Navigating the Promotions Dashboard 

<span style="color: #333333">Once you have opened the </span>**Promotions Dashboard**<span style="color: #333333"> you will be able to </span>**<span style="color: #333333">view</span>**<span style="color: #333333">, </span>**<span style="color: #333333">create </span>**<span style="color: #333333">and </span>**<span style="color: #333333">access</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> your promotions.</span>

<span style="color: #333333">There are two main sections to the Promotions Dashboard:</span>

1. <span style="color: #333333">At the top of the page, the </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Search Options </span>**<span style="color: #333333">for the promotion's dashboard.</span>
2. <span style="color: #333333">Below that, the</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> Search </span>****Results **of the entered search criteria.

## 1. The Search Options

In the search options section, you are able to perform the following:

### 1. Search for any promotions

You are able to refine your search by:  

- **Promotion: **Enter the promotion Id into the fields, if known, or click **Search **to open the **Promotion Finder **window and select the promotion.
- **Description: **Enter a promotion description or part description
- **Branch: **From the drop-down menu select the required branch or all branches.

Click **Find **once your search criteria have been added to update the results grid below.

### 2. Create a new promotion

Click the **New **button to add a new promotion.

## 2. The Results Grid

The results grid displays the information related to your search results. From here you can:

### 1. Open a promotion

Click on the relevant **Promotion ID** hyperlink to open the [Promotions Maintenance ](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28410344)screen.

### 2. View information about the entered promotions

From the grid you can quickly view information related to the entered promotions.

> ℹ️ Right-clicking on the grid headings will allow you choose which columns you want to be visible.

The information available from the results grid is:

| **Field** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| **Promotion ID** | Displays the ID given to the promotion. Click on the hyperlink to open the [Promotions Maintenance ](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28410344) screen. |
| **Description** | Displays the description given to the promotion. |
| **Start** and** End Date** | These fields displays the start and end dates for the promotions |
| **From **and **To Branch** | These fields display the branch range the promotion applies to. |
| **From** and** To Zone** | These fields display the area zone range the promotion applies to. |
| **Customer Group** | Display the customer group the promotion applies to. |
| **Account Type** | Display the Account type the promotion applies to. |
