# Overview

<span style="color: #333333">The </span>**Product Location Transfers **<span style="color: #333333">module allows you to transfer a product, internally within a selected branch, from an existing location to a new </span>[location](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28409342)<span style="color: #333333">. The </span>**Product Location Transfers Maintenance** screen allows you to add products and their location changes, Print the product location changes for your staff to be able to perform the work and mark the location transfers as completed.

> ⚠️ **Product Location Transfers** requires the feature code **LOC** to be **Active.**

# Accessing the 

To access the **Product Location Transfers **maintenance screen, perform the following:

1. Click **Frameworks** then navigate to **Inventory > Maintenance > Product Location Transfers **from the navigation tree.
2. Click **Find **to view all the open Product Location Transfers.

3. Click **New **to create a new Product Location Transfer or click on <span style="color: #333333">the relevant </span>**Transfer No **<span style="color: #333333">hyperlink to maintain the location transfer.</span>

# <span style="color: #172b4d">Navigating the Product Location Transfers Maintenance Screen</span>

Once you have opened the **Product Location Transfers Maintenance** screen you can add products to be relocated, maintain and complete product location transfers.

The screen is made up of three sections, these are:

## 1. The Header Details

In this section, you can view and maintain the product location transfer details.

> ℹ️ You can make changes to the Header information by clicking on the **Actions** button and selecting **Edit Header**.

| --- | --- |
| **Transfer number** | Displays the transfer number given to the <span style="color: #333333">product location transfer.</span> |
| **Branch** | Displays the branch Id for the <span style="color: #333333">product location transfer.</span> |
| **Completed Date** | Displays the date the <span style="color: #333333">product location transfer was marked as completed.</span> |
| **Status** | Displays the current status of the <span style="color: #333333">product location transfer. The available statuses are </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Open</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> and </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Completed.</span>** |
| **Assignee** | Displays the currently assigned user for the product location transfer. |

## 2. The Actions Button

From the **Actions**, additional options are available to maintain the product location transfer.

| **Function** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| **Print Transfer** | Select **Print Transfer** to open the **Output Dialog **window allowing you to print a product location transfer document to help your employees make the required changes on the floor. |
| **Delete Transfer** | Select **Delete Transfer** to remove the product location transfer from the system. |
| **Completed Transfer** | Select **Completed Transfer **to make the product location transfer job as completed. |
| **Edit Header** | Select **Edit Header **to open the **Product Locations Transfer Header** window. From here you can edit:<br>- The **Branch **that the product location transfer is for. This can only be changed if no product has been added to the transfer.

## 3. The Product and Location Entry

The **product and location entr**y section allows to:

- Enter **Products **or search for them using the [Product Finder](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/fwksproau/pages/30531076). Once entered the product description and default **UOM** will be displayed.
- Enter the **Qty to Transfer **from the products current location to its new location.
- Enter the **Location From **location Id or search for the location using the **Location Finder.**
- Enter the **Location To **location Id or search for the location using the **Location Finder.**
- Click the **check **icon to add the product location transfer to the maintenance grid.
- Click **Close** to cancel the product location transfer entry.

The **Location Stock Finder **window allows you to find a products location or exiting locations. Here you can refine your search by:

- **Branch: **From the drop-down menu you can choose from the branches that have stock by location enabled. This will default of the product location transfer.
- **Product: **Enter the product Id or click **Search **to open the [Product Finder](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/fwksproau/pages/30531076). This will default to the product selected in the product entry section.
- **Show zero stock locations: **Enable this checkbox to display stock locations, defined for the product, that have zero quantity on hand.
- **Show all locations: **Enable this checkbox to display all the available stock location defined for the selected branch.

From the search results you can view the stock locations and the quantities on hand at those locations. Click the **Location **hyperlink to select the location.

| **Scenario**: When the To location and From Location are the same<br>**Validation message**: Transfer locations are identical: [&1] - [&2]<br>**Message type:** :minus: |
| **Scenario:** The quantity is =/< 0<br>**Validation message:** Quantity must be greater than zero<br>**Message type:** :minus: |
| **Scenario:** The quantity entered exceeds the quantity available at all locations<br>**Validation message:** Limit of [&1] is reached for all Product's Locations.<br>**Message type:** :minus: |
| **Scenario:** Attempt to delete completed transfer.<br>**Validation message:** Cannot delete completed transfer<br>**Message type:** :minus: |
| **Scenario:** Attempt to transfer more stock than is present in the From Location.<br>**Validation message:** Quantity to transfer [&1] is greater than the stock available at the From Location [&2]<br>**Message type:** :minus: |
| **Scenario:** If a location is entered into either the To or From location field that does NOT exist in the system.<br>**Validation message:** Product location [Location ID] does not exist<br>**Message type:** :minus: |
| **Scenario**: If a location is entered into the From Location field that does exist but is not defined against the product<br>**Validation message:** Location [Location ID] not defined for product [Product ID]<br>**Message type:** :minus: |
| **Scenario**: If a location is entered into the To Location field that does exist but is not defined against the product<br>**Expected** **Validation** **message**: Product not normally stocked in Location [&1]<br>**Current message**: No current validation.<br>**Message type:** :warning: |
| **Scenario:** If a location is entered into either the From or To location fields, the location exists but is NOT pickable<br>**Validation message:** Location [Location ID] is not pickable.<br>**Message type:** :minus: |

## 3. The Maintenance Grid

The **Maintenance Grid** section displays all the products and location transfers that have been added to the transfer.

- Click the **Pencil **icon to open the **Edit Products Transfers Line** window to make any required adjustments.
- Click **Close **to remove the product location transfer line.
