# <span style="color: #003366">Overview</span>

The Product Branch Stock Import function allows you to make bulk changes to your Branch Stock in Frameworks. Some of the most common uses for the product import are:

- To make changes to the product Type (Stocked or NOT Stocked),
- To make changes to the minimum and maximum stock of the products.
- To update the picking groups or location codes of products.

Adding a range of new products from a supplier is better handled by the [Electronic Product Catalogue (EPC) ](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28391542)module.

# <span style="color: #003366">Accessing the Product Branch Stock Import</span>

<span style="color: #000000">To access the </span><span style="color: #000000">**Product Branch Stock Import**</span><span style="color: #000000">,</span><span style="color: #000000">** **</span><span style="color: #000000">perform the following:</span>

1. Click **Frameworks, **then navigate to **Inventory > Maintenance > Product Branch Stock Import** in the navigation tree.
2. The **Product Branch Stock Import** tab will open on the **Import Criteria **page.

# <span style="color: #003366">Downloading a Template</span>

To make it easier to import your branch stock products, you can download a template. By downloading a template, you will ensure that you have the correct product fields available to update and/or modify. To download a template, from the **Product Import > Import Criteria **tab, perform the following:

1. From the **Process** drop-down, select **Export**.
2. From the **Update Field **menu, select which fields you want to update. By default, all the fields are selected; hold the **CTRL** key down to select multiple fields
3. The following **Import Criteria** parameters can be used to refine the list of products to be specified in the export and import.
  - Selecting a **From Branch **and** To **range, you can select the range of **Branches** that you want included in the template.
  - Entering a **From Product **and** To **range, you can select the range of **Products **that you want included in the template.
  - Entering a **From Product Group **and** To **range, you can select the range of **Product Groups** that you want included in the template.

> ℹ️ The Branch fields will default to the users currently logged in branch.

4. Click **Submit** to generate the report. This report will include all of the products and fields based on the above selections.

> ℹ️ Enable **Download Template Only (No Data) **to download a blank .csv file (column headers only) that can be used to populate and import new product data.

5. Open up the downloaded .csv template (branch_product.csv) and add/edit the required product fields in the file.
6. **Save **the file, keeping the .csv file format, ready for importing.

To upload and import the edited branch_product.csv file, select **Import** from the **Process** drop-down menu, then perform the following:
