# Overview

> ⚠️ **Important:** When the **Can Break Packs **checkbox** **is disabled in [Product Maintenance](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28378114), this scheduled task will apply the pack quantities to the calculation of the max stock amount of the product for the supplier.

# Scheduling the Stock Forecasting Update

To schedule the **Stock Forecasting Update**, perform the following:

1. Click **Frameworks **and navigate to **Inventory** > **Stock Level Management** > **Stock Forecasting Update** from the navigation tree.
2. From the **Report Criteria **tab, define which stock forecasting details to update.
  - **Company: **For multi-company sites, enter the company you want to run the task for. Click **Search **to open the **Company Finder** window. Defaults to your logged in company
  - **Branch from** and **Branch to: **Enter the range of branches you want to apply the stock forecasting details to. Click **Search **to open the **Branch Finder** window. Defaults to including all branches (001-999).
  - **Method: **From the drop-down menu, select the **Forecasting Method **you want to apply to the stock forecasting details. You can select from **Days**,** Seasonal**, or **Product Group.**
  - **Include Non-Stocked Items? **Enable the checkbox to include non-stock items in the forecasting calculations. Disable to exclude them. By default, non-stock items are included in the forecasting calculations.
  - **Exclude Direct Deliveries? **Enable the checkbox to exclude direct deliveries in the forecasting calculations. A product is a direct delivery if its purchase order's shipping method matches the despatch method defined in [SopDrctDel](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28381092/Sales+Order+Related+System+Settings#SopDrctDel).

3. Go to the **Schedule **tab and set the required import schedule parameters (e.g., once only, daily, weekly).

> ℹ️ Generally, this is scheduled to be once a month or fortnightly.

- Enable **Send Notification** to send a notification to the logged-in user upon import completion.
- Enable **Send email** and enter an email address if you wish to send the report notification to a user.

4. Click **Submit** to run the scheduled task. Once complete, the **Output** tab will display a .csv file with a summary of the invoices processed, including any that failed to import.
