When a **Scheduled Notification Task** triggers an **Event** a Frameworks **User Task** can be automatically created and assigned to a specific user to follow up.

This process explains how to create a user task based on an event being triggered.

User Tasks are commonly setup for the following scheduled notification tasks:

- [Sales Orders Required Delivery Date Past](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28405282)
- [Sales Orders Requiring Credit Approval](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28385990).
- [Despatch Confirmation](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28404896).
- [Linked Purchase Orders Not Receipted](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28401548).
- [Quote Follow Up](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28405272).

> ⚠️ **Important:** To complete these steps, you will need to have created a new Task Code specific for the Notification Task under [System Tasks - Standard Task Description](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28405048)

> ✅ Refer to the [Frameworks Automated Notification System](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28381066) for more information about the available **Events.**

# How to Create a Task Action

## Subscribe to the Frameworks event

The first step to automating the creation of a user task within Frameworks is to subscribe to the required event so you can then add the **Create-Task** action on the event is triggered. To do this perform the following:

> Macro (include)

## Add a Create-Task Action

Now that the event has been subscribed to, you can add the **Create-Task **action

1. In the **Actions Details** section, click **Add**.
2. From the **Action **drop-down menu, select **Create-Task.**
3. Enabled the **Subscribed **checkbox to subscribe the person's Frameworks User ID to the task.

> ℹ️ You can disable the **Subscribed** checkbox any time to disable the notification.

4. In the **Description** field, enter a description to explain the task.
5. In the **User ID** and **Due Date fields,** enter in the User ID and a Due Date that will be given to the task. You might want to use variable event codes for these fields, for example, **User ID**: {order:idAssignee} and **Due Date**: {order:dateDelivReqd}. This will use the saved information from the Sales Order.
