# Overview

<span style="color: #333333">Background events </span>are created when a [Notification Tasks](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28386136) is scheduled <span style="color: #333333">to scan the database to look for transactions that match a criteria </span>and then register them as an event within Notifications Event Queue. 

This document is designed to help explain what each background event is and how it is triggered within Frameworks. 

# Background Events

Below is a list of background events currently available with Frameworks. Click on a heading below for more information. 

## Delivery Date Past

The scheduled task will create an event for every open sales order that has been completed with a required date within the selected dates and selected branch.

## Linked Purchase Orders not Receipted

The scheduled task will create an event for every sales order due for delivery in the next X days that have a linked purchase order and the purchase order has not been receipted.

## Despatch Confirmation to Customer

The scheduled task will create an event for every open sales order that has the selected despatch method and branch.

## Credit Approval** **

The scheduled task will create an for every sales order that has not been delivered and requires credit authorisation. The sales order must be in the selected branch and have a delivery date before the cut-off.

The scheduled task will create an event for every open quote due for delivery on the selected date.
