# Overview

To help streamline your customer management process try using the Frameworks Template Customers feature. When creating a new customer, you can now easily leverage the power of template customers to expedite the process. By selecting a template customer, field values will automatically match those of the chosen template. This ensures consistency and accuracy while significantly reducing data entry time.

# Creating and Maintaining Template Customers

Template customers retain standard behaviour within Customer Maintenance, enabling you to manage their data and settings across all the available tabs, The only differences being:

1. When creating a template customer, ensure you enable the **Template **checkbox on the **General tab,** as this can’t be enabled once the customer is created.
2. Template customers automatically have the **Account Hidden** flag turned on, making them unselectable for other activities. This ensures users can’t accidentally process transactions against a template customer.

> ✅ **Tip: **Copying an existing customer to become a template for similar future customers is a great place to start.

To find and maintain a template customer, in the [Customer Maintenance](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28389894) screen enable the **Template **checkbox then click **Find **to display the list of template customers.
