# <span style="color: #172b4d">Overview</span>

The Pack Maintenance window allows you to enter into Frameworks in the information about a timber pack, including chain of custody certification information, that you have order and the invoice information from the supplier.

# Accessing Pack Maintenance

To access the Pack Maintenance Screen, perform the following:

> Macro (rw-ui-steps-macro)
>

> 
> Click > Macro (inline-media-image)
> 
>  and navigate to **Timber Packs > Pack Maintenance **from the navigation tree.
>

> 
> Click on > Macro (inline-media-image)
> 
>  to view a list of pack in the system for the selected **Branch **(this will default to the branch you are login with)
> 
> You can further refine you search by:
> 
> - **Branch: **From the drop-down to selected all branches or another branch
> - **Date Range: **Using the **Date Choosers**, enter a pack date range to find packs entering into the system within that range
> - **Pack Range: **Enter the specific **pack numbers **into the **Pack From **and **To** fields.
> - **Status: **From the drop-down menu select a pack status of **In Transit, Allocated, In Stock **or **Used ** to find packs in the selected status.

> From the list of results click on the **Pack No.** hyperlink to open the details to the the right of the screen.

# <span style="color: #003366">Navigating the Pack Maintenance Dashboard</span>

<span style="color: #333333">Once you have open up the </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Pack Maintenance Dashboard</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> will be able to </span>**<span style="color: #333333">add</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> purchased timber packs into the system and </span>**<span style="color: #333333">view</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> and</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> edit</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> information about entered timber packs. There are 3 parts to the Pack Maintenance Dashboard.</span>

1. <span style="color: #333333">On the left hand side is displayed, in grid form, the </span>**<span style="color: #333333">search results </span>**<span style="color: #333333">of the packs in the system</span>
2. <span style="color: #333333">On the right hand side is displayed the selected </span>**<span style="color: #333333">pack details.</span>**
3. <span style="color: #333333">At the bottom are the </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Command Buttons.</span>**

> # Search Results
> 
> <span style="color: #333333">From the search results section you will be able to view the following information:</span>
> 
> | **Field** | **Description** |
> | --- | --- |
> | **Cert** | Information about the chain of custody certification information. |
> | **Pack** **No**. | The Pack number. Clicking on the Hyperlink will display the pack information in the Pack details section |
> | **Branch** | Information about the **Stocking Branch **which will recipe the pack into stock. |
> | **Production** | Type the production code that applies to this new pack. The system stores the number of pieces that each production facility put into their packs. |
> | **Pieces** | Displays the number of pieces within a timber pack |
> | **Length** | What is the length of the pieces in a timber pack. **Random **will be displayed if there are multiple lengths in a timber pack. |
> | **LM / M3** | Displays the over all UOM in both **lineal meters (LM)** and **cubic meters (M3)**. |
> | **Pack** **Date** | Displays the date when the pack was added to the system, if added via Timber Pack Creation, or the entered date when added via Pack Maintenance |
> | **Status** | Displays the status of the timber pack.<br>- **In Transit**: A newly added timber pack that has not been **[Commit Packs to Stock ](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28386670)**.
> - **Allocated**: If a timer pack has been allocated to a customer sales order
> - **In Stock**: The timber pack has been added to stock
> - **Used**: If the timber pack has been sold, used or removed. |

> > ℹ️ Don't forget, like all grid views in Frameworks, you can click on the column headings to **sort the columns** or right click on the grid and turn on the grid filter to **filter the results**.

> # <span style="color: #003366">Pack Details Tabs</span>
> 
> <span style="color: #333333">From the pack details section you will be able to view and edit the above information relating the timber pack. In addition to this information you are able to add </span>**<span style="color: #333333">New, Edit</span>**<span style="color: #333333">, </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Copy</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> and </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Delete </span>**<span style="color: #333333">timber packs as well as view and edit the following information:</span>
> 
> > ⚠️ You are only able to **delete **packs which are **In Transit.**
> 
> > Macro (rw-step)
> 
> ## Pack Header
> 
> Additional information you can view and edit on the pack header tab is:
> 
> | **Field** | **Description** |
> | --- | --- |
> | **Pack Marks** | <span style="color: #333333"> The mark details to help you identify this particular pack. Some Suppliers place identifying marks on a pack. </span>*(Only editable when pack is in transit)* |
> | **Supplier Pack** | The Pack Number from the supplier is it differs from the pack number that you have entered *(Only editable when pack is in transit)* |
> | **Supplier No.** | <span style="color: #333333">The Supplier Code for this pack. When created in </span><span style="color: #333333">[Timber Pack Creation ](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28392246)</span><span style="color: #333333"> </span>Supplier No will default to the creation Branch's Internal Supplier Code.<br>> ℹ️ Use the > Macro (inline-media-image)
> > ℹ️ 
> > ℹ️ icon to open the supplier finder window to select a different supplier. |
> | **Invoice No.** | <span style="color: #333333">The Supplier Invoice number or delivery docket number that includes this pack. This is used as a reference number if stock needs to be returned or if there are problems tracing average pricing. </span>*<span style="color: #333333">(Only editable when pack is in transit). </span>*<span style="color: #333333">When created in </span><span style="color: #333333">[Timber Pack Creation ](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28392246)</span><span style="color: #333333"> the invoice number will be populated as the the current date (DDMMYY) ie, 230321</span> |
> | **Stack-ID No.** | <span style="color: #333333">The identifying number for the kiln stack that this timber pack came from. For quality assurance purposes in a mill production environment, it is possible to track which Kiln Stack the  timber pack was produced from. </span>*<span style="color: #333333">(Only editable when pack is in transit)</span>* |
> | **Date Striped** | <span style="color: #333333">The date that the stack was stripped. </span>*<span style="color: #333333">(Only editable when pack is in transit)</span>* |
> | **Warehouse Locn:** | <span style="color: #333333">The warehouse location where the timber pack is to be located. </span>*<span style="color: #333333">(Only editable when pack is in transit)</span>* |
> | **Cost:** | This is the total of the timber pack |
> | **Quaintly:** | The quaintly of the timber pack in LM |
> | **Comments 1:** | Any comments that have been added to the timber pack.<br>> ℹ️ If the Pack has been created via the Timber Pack Creation function the comments will include information like:
> > ℹ️ 
> > ℹ️ - Generated by FW Pack Label Print
> > ℹ️ - By: 32 (the Frameworks User)
> > ℹ️ - At: 2:28 PM |
> 
> ### Pack Product Details
> 
> From the pack header you can also view a list of products that have been added to the selected Timber Pack. You can also add additional products to timber packs which are still in transit. 
> 
> The information provided and editable is:
> 
> - The **Product Code **of the products in the timber pack
> - The **Quantity, Length **and **Unit Measure (UM)** of the added products
> - The **Unit Cost **of t<span style="color: #333333">he cost per unit of measure, not per pack, for the timber contained in this pack.</span>
> - The **Unit Shipping **cost and **Total **Cost
> - The **Cubic Meters** of the timber pack

> 
> Clicking on the **Pack Status **tab you will be able view **Sales Information **and **Receipt Information **relating to In Stock, Allocated and Used.

> ## MFG Transactions
> 
> Clicking on the **MFG Transactions **tab you will be able view information relating to any manufacturing transactions including:
> 
> | **Field** | **Description** |
> | --- | --- |
> | **W/Order** | The Work Order number. |
> | **Date** | The date the transaction was done. |
> | **User-Id** | Which assignee performed the transaction. |
> | **Type** | What was the type of of manufacturing performed. |
> | **W/S** | The workstation where the transaction was performed. |
> | **Product Code** | The product code of the product used. |
> | **Cost** | What was the cost of this transaction. |

> ## Movements
> 
> Clicking on the **Movements **tab you will be able to view the custody chain of the selected pack. These are the movements of the pack after the pack has been receipted.

> The information displayed here is:
> 
> | **Field** | **Description** |
> | --- | --- |
> | **Date** | Displays the Date the receipting of the pack was performed. |
> | **Time** | Displays the Time the receipting of the pack was performed. |
> | **Branch** | Displays the Branch Id where the pack is located at the time of the receipting of the pack. |
> | **Supplier** | Displays the Supplier Id of the pack at the time of the receipting of the pack. |
> | **Reference** | Displays the Reference Number of the transaction at the time of the receipting of the pack. |
> | **Type** | Displays the Type of movement that has been preformed. For example, created and transferred. |
> | **From Branch** | Displays the Branch Id of where the pack has been receipted from. |
> | **From Supplier** | Displays the Supplier Id of where the pack has been receipted from. |
> | **From Reference** | Displays the Reference Number of the transaction where the pack has been receipted from. |
> | **User** | Displays the User id if the user who perform the transaction. |
