# Create a PIN Entry Only User

Frameworks allow the creation of PIN Entry Only user accounts.

> ⚠️ These accounts will not be able to access a classic ProStix session.

When used to log into Frameworks the only activities that will be allowed are those that require a User PIN to be entered or an activity flagged as “allowed on a PIN entry only session,” such as the Sales Order dashboard that is used to launch the Sales Order maintenance screen, which is pin entry. ("allowOnPinEntryOnly": true, to be added to activities). This option is only required for the Named User model but could be used regardless of the licence model in use. A PIN Entry Only Account cannot be assigned a PIN and therefore cannot be used to transact and cannot be “Exempt From Pin Entry.”.

A PIN Entry Only user account is NOT counted as a Named User Licence. The user that uses the session that is logged in with such an account must be a valid enabled and unlocked account. This is typically used for a POS terminal session.

A PIN Entry Only user account session IS counted as a concurrent session. The user that uses the POS terminal must be a valid enabled and unlocked account but is NOT a concurrent session.

> ✅ Refer to [PIN Entry Only Operator](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28386162) for more more information on how to set this up.

# Create an API Only User

A User account can be flagged as an API Only account. These accounts can only access the API services and cannot use the Frameworks user interface or a classic ProStix session.

An API Only account is NOT counted as a Named User or concurrent Licence as these accounts are counted and managed under a separate licence.

Access to a Frameworks API requires a separate Frameworks API and Progress licence.

> ✅ Refer to [Secure API's](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28381040) for more information.
