--- title: "Help Maintenance" canonical: "https://kb.myframeworks.com.au/space/FRAM/28386152/Help%20Maintenance" format: markdown --- # Overview The **Help Maintenance** option allows you to create and maintain hyperlinks to web pages. These links are then visible to all users by right-clicking on the activity and selecting **Help**.  For each release of Frameworks, Sterland maintains links to online content in the Sterland Knowledge Base. Our customers can also add additional Help links by referencing any URL. To manually create links via Help Maintenance, from the home **Dashboard** perform the following: > ℹ️ You cannot add a link to a network drive location. For security reasons, browsers do not allow a web page to open a local file resource. The only solution is to create a link to a web page that points to a local file (or mapped drive), effectively storing your files on a web server that you can access via links on a web page. # Accessing the Activity Maintenance Screen 1. Click the **Frameworks Menu, then** navigate to **System Administrator > Screens & Menus > Help Maintenance **from the navigation tree. 2. Click **Find** to show all existing help files. # Navigating the Help Maintenance  Once you open the **Help Maintenance** Screen, you will be able to view and search for help links. ![image](media://8a4c6c11-8abf-4aea-b389-af1effb8efb4) The Help Maintenance is made up of 3 sections. These are: ## 1. Search Criteria This section allows you to refine your search by **Activity, Owner **and** Media Type. **Click the **Search** icon to open the **Activity Finder **window. - Click **Find** to update the search results. - Click **Import** to open the **Help Resource Import Scheduler.** This allows you to download a template and import a CSV file. > ✅ Refer to [Help Maintenance via CSV](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28385862) for more information ## 2. Results Grid This displays all the search results from the search field. - **Activity**: This is the activity name that the help file is linked to. Click on the hyperlink to display the help maintenance details to the right of the screen - **Description**: This is the **description **that is displayed on the help menu and is then hyperlinked to the content - **Owner**: This is the owner of the content. Help Maintenance Details The **Help Maintenance Details **section displays the details of the selected activity and is also where you enter the help content access details.  - **Activity**: Enter the activity name that the help file is linked to or click the **Search** icon to open the **Activity Finder **window. - **Owner**: Enter the owner of the content. Content with the owner **Sterland** will be updated/overwritten each release. - **Media Type**: Enter information about what type of content the help link is. - **URL: **Enter the address for where the help content is located.
