# <span style="color: #003366">Overview</span>

The System User Import Scheduler allows for the creation and maintenance of Frameworks User IDs via a.csv import. The import utility enables bulk import of new Frameworks users, the update of existing users and to overwrite existing users. Refer to the below for information on creating and maintaining users via .csv Import.<span style="color: #003366"> </span>

# <span style="color: #003366">Accessing the System User Import</span>

<span style="color: #000000">To access the </span>**<span style="color: #000000">System User Import Scheduler, </span>**<span style="color: #000000">perform the following:</span>

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu**, then navigate to **System Administration > Users & Security > User Maintenance** in the navigation tree.
2. From the **User Maintenance** dashboard, click the **Actions** button and select the **Import **option.
3. The **System User Import Scheduler **tab will open on the **Import Criteria** page.

# <span style="color: #003366">Creating a Blank Frameworks User ID .csv Template</span>

Users can be imported in bulk via .csv by downloading and updating a blank template. To do this, from the **System User Import Scheduler > Import Criteria **page, perform the following:

1. Ensure all of the required **fields** are selected. All the fields will be selected by default; use **Shift** to select a range or **Ctrl** to select multiple fields.
2. Enable **Download Template Only (No data) **then click on the **Download Template** button to export a.csv template that defines the CSV file format.
3. Open up the downloaded.csv template (systemUserImport.csv) and enter the required user details into the file.

For the template to import correctly add the following fields are added for each user:

| **Field Name** | **Field value Notes** |
| --- | --- |
| Userid | must be unique - not previously loaded |
| Name | cannot be Null value |
| Security Class | cannot be Null value |
| User default company | cannot be Null value |
| Password | cannot be Null value |
| Group Name | cannot be Null value |
| Login disabled | yes or no - cannot be null |
| Saleman No. | must be unique - not previously loaded |
| Branch Code | cannot be Null value |
| Pin No | cannot be Null value |
| Pin Entry Only | yes or no - cannot be null |
| API only | yes or no - cannot be null |
| Security Group | cannot be Null value |

4. **Save **the file, keeping the .csv file format, ready for importing.

# <span style="color: #003366">Maintain existing Frameworks User IDs</span> via<span style="color: #003366"> Import</span>

Existing users can also be maintained or overwritten in bulk via the .csv Import utility in Frameworks.To do this, from the **System User Import Scheduler > Import Criteria **page, perform the following:

1. Ensure all of the required **Field** are selected. All the fields will be selected by default, use **Shift** to select a range or **Ctrl** to select multiple fields.
2. Leave **Download Template Only (No data)**unticked then click on the **Download Template** button to export a .csv template with all current user details in the format required for re-importing user details into Frameworks.

> ℹ️ To filter the list of User Id's that are added to the export use the **From User Id: **and **To: **fields.

3. Open up the the downloaded .csv template (systemUserImport.csv) and enter the required user details into the file.
4. **Save **the file, keeping the .csv file format, ready for importing.
