# Overview

**Customer Tier Maintenance** is a repository of all existing customer contract tier pricing held in the system. It allows you to create and maintain contract prices for an individual customer.

To assign tier pricing, you must select a section and tier. Any products included in that section where the "contract" flag is active will be added to the contract when the scheduled task is run, with the corresponding pricing as defined by the tier level.

A section can only be assigned once at any one time to a contract.

Multiple sections can be assigned to a single contract.

The following changes in Product Tier Pricing Dashboard will alter the products on the contract when the scheduled task is run:

- If the contract flag on the current tier product record is unchecked, the product will be removed from the contract.
- If the section on the current tier product record is set to tier disabled, the product will be removed from the contract.
- If the section on the current tier product record is changed to a section that is not assign on the contract, the product will be removed from the contract.
- If the tier price is manually changed on the current tier product record and the contract does NOT have future review dates set, the price will be updated on the contract.
- If a future tier product record becomes the active current tier product record (time elapsing) and the contract does NOT have future review dates set, the price will be updated on the contract.
