# Overview

**Discount Group Tier Maintenance** is a repository of all [discount group](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28405198)s in the system which allows you to search for Discount Groups & apply [product tier pricing](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28402830/Product+Tier+Pricing+Dashboard#%5BinlineExtension%5DAssigning-tiered-pricing-to-a-product) to those Discount Groups at a product level. 

<span style="color: #333333">You can only apply one tier to one discount group.</span><span style="color: #ff0000"> </span><span style="color: #333333">Unlike contract tier pricing, sections do not play a part in assigning tier pricing to discount group. When a tier is assigned to a Discount Group, the Discount Group and the corresponding price are added to the Product record after the scheduled task has been run. ## <span style="color: #003366">Adding a new Discount Group Tier</span>

To add a new Discount Group Tier, perform the following:

1.  Click **Frameworks **then type **Discount Group Tier Maintenance** (or select **Discount Group Tier Maintenance** from within the **Inventory** - **Tier Pricing** navigation tree).

2. Click **New**.

3. Type a *unique discount group name* in the **Discount Group*** field.

4. Type a *description for the Discount Group Tier* in the **Description** field.

5. Assign a *tier to the Discount Group* via the drop-down arrow in the **Tier** field. Refer to the [Product Tier Pricing Dashboard ](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28402830)to view the pricing assigned to the various tiers

6. Click<span style="color: #000000"> </span>**Save**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>

<span style="color: #333333">7. These changes will apply when the automated nightly scheduled task </span><span style="color: #333333">**TierPrc**</span><span style="color: #333333"> is run.</span>

## <span style="color: #003366">Clearing pricing tiers for an existing Discount Group </span>

<span style="color: #333333">If a discount is no longer applicable, you can remove the discount group from the product record as per the process below.</span>

To clear pricing tiers for an existing Discount Group, perform the following:

1. Click **Frameworks **then type **Discount Group Tier Maintenance** (or select **Discount Group Tier Maintenance** from within the **Inventory** - **Tier Pricing** navigation tree).

2. Click **Find** to display all existing Discount Groups.

3. Click the relevant **Discount Code** link to display that Discount Group tier's details on the right side of the screen.

4. Enable the checkbox for **Clear tiers for discount group**.

## <span style="color: #003366">Copying an existing Discount Group Tier</span>

To copy an existing Discount Group Tier, perform the following:

1. Click **Frameworks** then type **Discount Group Tier Maintenance** (or select **Discount Group Tier Maintenance** from within the **Inventory** - **Tier Pricing** navigation tree).

2. Click **Find ** to display all existing Discount Groups.

3. Click the relevant **Discount Code** link to display that Discount Group tier's details on the right side of the screen.

4. Click **Copy **from the bottom right side of the screen.

5.  Type a *unique discount group name* in the **Discount Group*** field & update the **Description** and **Tier** level as required.

6. Click<span style="color: #000000"> </span>**Save**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>

## <span style="color: #003366">Editing an existing Discount Group Tier</span>

To edit an existing Discount Group Tier, perform the following:

1. Click **Frameworks **then type **Discount Group Tier Maintenance** (or select **Discount Group Tier Maintenance** from within the **Inventory** - **Tier Pricing** navigation tree).

2. Click **Find** to display all existing Discount Groups.

3. Click the relevant **Discount Code** link to display that Discount Group tier's details on the right side of the screen.

4. Make your changes to the **Discount Group***, **Description** and/or **Tier** fields as required.

5. Click<span style="color: #000000"> </span>**Save**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>

## <span style="color: #003366">Deleting a Discount Group Tier</span>

To delete a Discount Group Tier, perform the following:

1. Click **Frameworks **then type **Discount Group Tier Maintenance** (or select **Discount Group Tier Maintenance** from within the **Inventory** - **Tier Pricing** navigation tree).

2. Click **Find **to display all existing Discount Groups.

3. Click the relevant **Discount Code** link to display that Discount Group tier's details on the right side of the screen.

4. Click **Delete**.
