Assembly notes are a step that some businesses use as a middle ground between Picking Slips and Delivery dockets.

> ℹ️ **For Example:**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ A truck driver loading their truck before the morning's deliveries.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ 1. **Pickers** would print the **picking slips,** source the individual product from the different shelves to fill the orders and put the items into an assembly location. These products could be loose or bundled in a pack.
> ℹ️ 2. A delivery runsheet could then be built with all the orders for the morning, the **driver** would produce the **assembly note** to determine what goods from what bays he needs to load onto his truck.
> ℹ️ 3. **Delivery dockets** normally represent the items being invoiced so the dockets would be produced in the morning just before the truck drives out the gate.
