> This process explains how to use the System User Import Scheduler function to perform bulk user changes in Frameworks.

# <span style="color: #003366">Overview</span>

The System User Import Scheduler function allows you to make bulk changes to your user accounts in Frameworks. Some of the most common uses for the System User imports are:

- Updating newly added user flags across your users.
- Adding and removing access to various user functions for a selected list of users.
- Make changes to users Discount Groups en- masse.

> ℹ️ This process explains how to use the System User Import Scheduler function to perform bulk user changes in Frameworks.

# <span style="color: #003366">Accessing the System User Import Scheduler</span>

<span style="color: #000000">To access the </span><span style="color: #000000">**System User Import Scheduler, **</span><span style="color: #000000">perform the following:</span>

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu**, then navigate to **System Administration > Users & Security > Users > User Maintenance** in the navigation tree.
2. Click the **Actions** button and select **Import** from the menu.
3. The **System User Import Scheduler** screen will open on the **Import Criteria **page.

# <span style="color: #003366">Downloading a Template</span>

To make it easier to import your user details and update their discount groups, you can download a template. By downloading a template, you will ensure that you have the correct fields available to update and/or modify. To download a template, from the **Import Criteria **tab, perform the following:

## Download User Template

1. From the **Update Field **menu, select which fields you want to update/import. By default, all the fields are selected; hold the **CTRL** key down to select multiple fields.
2. You can select the range of **User **that you want included in the template by entering a **From User ID **and** To **range.

> ℹ️ Leave the ranges blank to add all product to the template.

3. Click **Download User Template** to download the .csv template (systemUserImport.csv) that will include all of the User Ids and fields based on the above selections.

> ℹ️ Enable the **Download Template Only (No Data) **checkbox** **to download a blank .csv file (column headers only) that can be used to populate and import new product data.
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ Enable the **Include Disabled Logins **checkbox to add in logins that have been disabled into the .csv file.

4. Open up the downloaded.csv template (systemUserImport.csv) and add/edit the required product fields in the file.
5. **Save **the file, keeping the.csv file format ready for importing.

## <span style="color: #003366">Download Discount Group Template</span>

1. You can select the range of **User **that you want included in the template by entering a **From User ID **and** To **range.

> ℹ️ Leave the ranges blank to add all product to the template.

2. Click **Download Disc Group Template** to download the.csv template (systemUserDiscGroupImport.csv) that will include all of the User Ids and fields based on the above selections.

3. Open up the the downloaded .csv template (systemUserDiscGroupImport.csv) and add/edit the required product fields in the file.
4. **Save **the file, keeping the .csv file format, ready for importing.

# <span style="color: #003366">Uploading the System User Imports</span>

To upload and import the edited systemUserImport.csv and/or systemUserDiscGroupImport.csv files, from the** Import Criteria **page, perform the following:

### 1. Upload the CSV file

Click **Upload User CSV** or **Upload Disc Group CSV** and choose the file created in the above steps and then click the** Upload** button. Once the .csv file has been up uploaded next to **Import File:** it will display the filename that is going to be imported.

### 2. Confirm the processing options

1. Override existing records
  - **Disabled by default.** Leave unselected to append to the existing information. Otherwise, enable to replace the current User Id's with the contents of the csv.
2. Report Only
  - **Enabled by default. **Select to produce a report only of the changes to be made without processing the changes themselves.

> ⚠️ **Override existing records** must be unticked in order to ONLY produce a report without making the changes in the system.

### 3. Schedule the Import

Click the **Schedule** tab. The scheduled task is defaulted to run **One Time** and is set to run at the *current system date and time*.

> ℹ️ If you are performing a large import you might want to delay the import to not impact performance. To do this update the **Start date** and **time** or use the **Date Picker** icon to search for an appropriate date and time to run the task.

### 4. Set your notifications

Select the task notification options to **send a notification** or **send an email** once the import has run.

### 5. Submit the Import task

Click **Submit** to import the .csv file. An information box will pop up advising that the task has been submitted. Click on **OK.**

### 6. View the Output

On the **Output** page, under the **Generated Reports** section, click on the **reports** links to review the import.

> ⚠️ If the** Report Only** option was ticked > Macro (inline-media-image)
> ⚠️ 
> ⚠️  and there were no errors in the generated report click **New** and repeat the above and disable **Report Only**.
> ⚠️ 
> ⚠️ If there were any errors in the generate report, resolve the errors before importing and possibly run the report only option until it is error-free.

### 7. Close the Screen

Click on the **Close **button in the bottom right to complete the task.
