# Overview

Picking slips are required so the store person knows what goods are to be picked to fulfil the Sales Orders each day and may be printed in Delivery Date or Manufactured Date sequence. Using the **Print Picking Slips** option allows you to print all previously un-printed or printed picking slips for a selected branch, picking group and date range.

Enabling the System Setting - Flag **FWPSBtchMstr** allows for the Picking Groups on a transaction will ALL be outputted regardless of any pre-printing, if the 'From/To Picking Group' fields are unchanged.

You can also print a picking slip for an individual order by selecting the order and then selecting the option **Print Options > Print Picking Slip** from the **Actions** menu.

# How to Bulk Print Picking Slips

To print picking slips en-mass, perform the following:

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu**, then navigate to **Sales > Transaction Processing > Print Picking Slips** from the navigation tree.
Define the criteria for which picking slips will be printed by entering the required information:
  - The branch range using the **From** and **To Branch** fields.
  - The picking group range using the **From** and **To Picking Group** fields.
  - The date range using the **From** and **To Date** fields.
  - The despatch method using the **Desp. Method** drop-down menu. Leave blank to print the picking slips for all despatch methods.
  - The **Include Copies** checkbox, when enabled, will print Picking Slips for Orders already marked as Printed.
  - The **Update Picking Groups** checkbox, when enabled, will update the associated Picking Groups to be marked as Printed.

2. Click **Print** to open the **Output Dialog** window.
3. In the **Output Dialog** window, select the required **Printer Address** and enter the number of copies to print in the **Copies** field.

> ℹ️ If the **PickSlipPrtBin** flag is enabled, you can enable the **Use Multiple Printer Trays** checkbox to print each copy from a different printer tray sequentially (maximum of 4 trays). This is useful for colour-coded picking workflows where each tray contains different coloured paper. If more than 4 copies are specified, all copies will print from tray 1 only.

4. Click **Output** to print the picking slips.

# Multi-Tray Printing for Picking Slips

Enable the **PickSlipPrtBin** flag to print picking slip copies from different printer trays automatically. This supports colour-coded picking workflows where each tray contains different coloured paper for specific operational purposes.

## Using Multi-Tray Printing

To use multi-tray printing, perform the following:

1. Click the **Frameworks Menu**, then navigate to **System Administration > System Setup > Configuration > System Settings - Flags**.
2. Locate the **PickSlipPrtBin** flag and enable the **Flag** checkbox. Click **Save**.
3. When printing picking slips (bulk print or individual order), enable the **Use Multiple Printer Trays** checkbox in the **Output Dialog** window.
4. Enter the number of copies (between 1 and 4 for multi-tray distribution) in the **Copies** field.
5. Click **Output** to print.

Each copy will print from a different tray in sequence. If you enter more than 4 copies, the multi-tray feature is automatically disabled and all copies print from tray 1.

To print all copies from the default tray when the **PickSlipPrtBin** flag is enabled, disable the **Use Multiple Printer Trays** checkbox in the **Output Dialog** window before clicking **Output**.

# Additional Information

The below system settings may be used to customise the functionality of your Frameworks instance.

| **System Settings - Flag** | **Flag Purpose** |
| --- | --- |
| **FWPSBtchMstr** | Batch print picking slip is a master copy. If printing all Picking Groups from Print Picking Slips and one or more have already been printed individually, then all picking groups will still print. |
| **PickSlipPrtBin** | Enable printing copies from different printer trays for picking slips. See [Multi-Tray Printing for Picking Slips](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28381504/Print+Picking+Slips#multi-tray-printing-for-picking-slips) above. |

### Picking Slip Group Sorting Behaviour

The following table describes how the [SOPPG20](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FSS/pages/13179055), [SOPPG20Brk ](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FSS/pages/13179063)and [SOPPS20Loc](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FSS/pages/13177464) flags interact to control group sorting and page break behaviour on the picking slip.

When the **SOPPS20Loc** flag is enabled, it takes priority over the other two flags. The scenarios below reflect this priority order.

| **SOPPG20** | **SOPPG20Brk** | **SOPPS20Loc** | **Behaviour in the Picking Slip** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Y | Y | Y | Page Break = N. Group Sorting = Bin Location. The **SOPPS20Loc** flag is prioritised over the other flags when enabled. |
| Y | Y | N | Page Break = Y. Group Sorting = Picking Group Number (matching Picking Group Number will then sort by Picking Group ID alphabetically). |
| Y | N | N | Page Break = N. Group Sorting = Picking Group Number (matching Picking Group Number will then sort by Picking Group ID alphabetically). |
| N | Y | N | Page Break = Y. Group Sorting = Picking Group ID alphabetically. |
| N | N | N | Page Break = N. No group sorting. Products sort by line number. |

### Picking Group Additional Copies

Products assigned to a Picking Group with a configured **Additional copies** value print extra copies of that Picking Group's section on the picking slip, beyond the standard single copy. For example, a Picking Group with **Additional copies** set to 1 prints that group's section twice, while all other products on the same picking slip print once as normal.

Additional Copies requires the **SOPPG20** and **SOPPG20Brk** system flags to be enabled, and the **SOPPS20Loc** system flag to be disabled. Refer to [Configure Additional Picking Group Copies](#) and [Picking Groups - Field Definitions](#) for setup steps and field details.
