# Overview

Mitre 10 are able to set up specific exclusive Mighty Rewards pricing promotions to its Mighty Rewards loyalty members in Frameworks by offering them discounted pricing on selected products for a given period of time.

Mighty Rewards customers receive the ‘Exclusive Pricing Promotion’ price by default at Point Of Sale when the goods are purchased if the customer has a Mighty Rewards card that has been scanned at POS & the promotion is still in effect. The Mitre 10 exclusive pricing promotions are set up via [Promotions Dashboard](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28391876) and the use and setup of an "MR Promo" program / hidden flag.

> ⚠️ This is not a normal promotion for every customer but an exclusive Mighty Reward Holder promotion.

# How the exclusive Mitre 10 Mighty Rewards pricing promotions work

> Macro (rw-ui-steps-macro)
>
> > Macro (rw-step)
>
> Mitre 10 created a promotion type **Mighty Rewards Exclusive Pricing** within their promotion management system (Promtek) that details the participating store/s, products eligible for exclusive pricing, product costs and promotional on & off sale dates. A promotion POS file is then created and placed on the Mitre 10 FTP server. The identifying promotion code on the header record of the file is “**MREP**”. The file is made available several days before the promotion commencement date.
>
> > Macro (rw-step)
>
> This file is then copied to Prostix via the existing ETM promotion import facility (a daily scheduled transfer) via file transfer. The file is defined as a Mighty Rewards Exclusive Pricing Promotion.
>
> > Macro (rw-step)
>
> During a sale, when the POS operator scans a product for a customer that is listed in the Mighty Rewards Exclusive Pricing promotion file, Frameworks returns the exclusive price (as detailed in the promotion file) if the following conditions are true:
>
> - The customer has a Mighty Rewards card and it has been scanned at POS.
> - The transaction date is within the on/off sale date as specified in the Mighty Rewards discount promotion file.

>
> > Macro (rw-step)
>
> If the customer does not have a Mighty Rewards card and/or the promotion has ended ( eg: the transaction date is outside of the on/off sale date as specified in the Mighty Rewards discount promotion file), then the exclusive pricing will not be applied, however, other general promotion pricing defined may be applied to the product/s.
>
> > ℹ️ Mitre10 may have multiple promotions active at any given time and promotional on/off sale dates may overlap for the same products. In these instances, Frameworks POS always return the best price for the consumer, irrespective of the Mighty Rewards exclusive price.

<summary>Setting up a Mighty Rewards Exclusive Pricing promotion manually</summary>

<span style="color: #333333">When promotions are imported via ETM, the Mighty Rewards promotion is flagged as an 'Exclusive Pricing' promotion, however, if a user is required to manually create a promotion via normal Promotion Maintenance, then these promotions have to be manually flagged as being a 'Mighty Rewards Exclusive Pricing' promotion. This is achieved via the following steps:</span>

1. From the **ProStix** **Main Menu **select** System Administration **>** Utilities **then** Run a Program**.
2. Type *cusuchgpromtyp* into the **Which Program**' field, then select <enter>.
3. Type *Yes* to the Warning message.

4. Type the *promotion ID* which you have previously manually created via promotion maintenance into the **Promotion Code** field. For example, 'MR Promo 01'. This Promotion ID will then be available to edit within the Promotion field in the [Promotions Dashboard](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28391876).
5. Type *mgy* into the **Feature Access** field to activate the Mighty Rewards promotion then click <F1>.

6. Type *Yes* to continue.
7. A message "Promotion Feature Access successfully updated" appears. This is confirmation that the promotion is now identified as an 'Exclusive Pricing Mighty Rewards Promotion'.
8. To add, maintain and delete promotions, refer to [Promotions Dashboard](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FRAM/pages/28391876).
